I hate when they give the girls short haircuts on Top Model because their faces can "handle it." Look at the successful models of today. When they walk into an agency with their banging bodies and their stellar faces, do their agencies say "ok, we need to cut off all of your hair now!" That instantly destroys your ability to be booked and your versatility. But whatever, ANTM isn't a real screen shot of the modelling world. It's reality television, and drastic makeovers make for good television.

Everyone who's saying "it's just hair, it grows back" don't seem to be aware of how long it really takes to grow hair. 3-4 months, are you kidding? To grow hair as long as Cassandra's would probably take rather 3 or 4 YEARS. So if like me you hate short hair, it means you're going to hate yourself for about, let's say, 2 years. To me it does seem like a pretty big deal. Some people don't care, but I'm sure they care about something else, be it their clothes, make-up, whatever...

Obviously, Cassandra looked so much better with the new hair. However, Tyra and even Jay Manuel acted so badly after her haircut. First of all, this was a big change for her so she neeeded time to adapt rather than to be told that it would be cut even shorter. Second, Jay should have explained it more clearly that she could be a feminine person inside, edgy outside rather than pushing her through to make her think that the haircut completely changed her personality.
