It was made by John Birch in Scotland to order, but Hill always found it a bit awkward to play live - hence it was used to mime with on TV appearances. @scrumsie he's got an MBE and no, no it isnt. people dont appreciate Slade everybody just thinks of Merry Xmas (which is a fantastic song) but for me Slade produced much better music than all of there contemporaries. For me they written better songs than bands like the Stones that everybody kiss arses. Besides they influenced so many fantastic bands such as Kiss. I remember sat watching this on TOTP as a kid... my heart was fluttering.. I was so excited that Slade were going to be on.... I will never forget it.... and I really love Nod's hat.

This is the first clip of Slade i've seen which has Dave Hill playing his "Little Yob" guitar. It was made by John Birch in Scotland to order, but Hill always found it a bit awkward to play live - hence it was used to mime with on TV appearances. It now belongs to Marco Pirroni (formerly of Adam and the Ants)

@scrumsie he's got an MBE and no, no it isnt. people dont appreciate Slade everybody just thinks of Merry Xmas (which is a fantastic song) but for me Slade produced much better music than all of there contemporaries. For me they written better songs than bands like the Stones that everybody kiss arses. Besides they influenced so many fantastic bands such as Kiss. I really wish i had the chance to see the full line up live having only seen Slade 2 perform.
