-.- I hate these guys. I was only level 28 when fighting them and couldn't win so I had to restart the game and level up to like level 35. So tip to others: Make sure your at least over level 31 to have a chance.
Oh man, that boss fight on CD 2 against Giacamo and the other two is so hard. I was too weak and saved over my old savegame. Now I'm ruined and can't beat them, because I can't return to a church to level up. : (
@SpookyNooky That sucks. Start over and spam level pass 30 before you reach that battle. Use Light, Water, and wind attacks vs them. Gang up on the woman first she is the weakest, than the speedy dude, than the big guy. After that battle another boss is a bitch because of one attack that kills your character in one hit use light and water wind attacks on him. Hope this helps
I love this music! It made me really sad when you don't fight them anymore 'cause you don't get to hear the song in the game again. This game has an outstanding soundtrack simply because it portrays kalas unlike any other game cept The Elder Scrolls haha but yeah this game i loved every minute of it especially this song in particular when you fight Giacomo Amey and Folon

look, its basic this game, it involves a healer, and 2 damagers.
keep gibari as a healer. stock him with all the health cards. why him as a healer? coz ALL his weapons can be used to defend himself, (his paddles) so hes a great healer.
Xshella for spell damage
Kalas for melee damage, thats hwo i beat giacomo, and every other boss.
always keep a healer, a spell caster and a melee. hope that helps u guys and maybe u realise thats what u needed to kill giacomo
@pacificbeauty I ran Kalas, Gibari and Mizuti in this fight. Could've run Xelha instead of Mizuti, but I'm more comfortable with Mizuti. Take out Folon first (he does a TON of damage if you let him get a couple of Energy Injections). You're best stocking characters with light magnus or having characters (like Kalas or Gibari) who can eat damage. I saved Savyna, Lyude and Xelha for battling the robots afterwards =)

@matuto70 hmm fue novedoso si...pero no puedes restarle merito a Tales of Symphonia (que para mi es el indiscutible rey de los RPG para Gamecube) si bien carecia de las extraordinarias graficas de Baten Kaitos facilmente se ponia de igual a igual con sus sistema de batalla rapido y adictivo!...

@Edgemaverickstar es verdad!...Origins supero en mucho al primer baten kaitos! aunque no lo pude terminar si me di cuenta que la historia estaba mejor planeada, y no como en el primero que mas bien se sentia como que la iban escribiendo conforme avanzabas de pueblo en pueblo, lo de Melodia hasta se sintio super forzadisimo en cambio en con la traicion de Kratos en TOS te quedabas en shock y hasta con rabia! =)

Also, were the Giacomo fights really supposed to be that hard?? As long as you're defending with the right element and have plenty of revive cards you're fine o_O I had Gibari mop them up pretty much single handed.
@milkjamjuice I didn't have a single revive card, but simply loading Xelha with Light and Water attacks and doing whatever with Kalas won the battle easily. If I was thinking, I'd have chosen Gibari instead of Lyude as my third, since Lyude at that point is starting to deal mainly Dark damage and Gibari is still loving his Water attacks, but giving everyone 4 or so healing items let me win with my guys near full.
Also, kill Folon first. He does way too much damage otherwise.

In a game that threw piece after piece of music with a classical feel, a stylish song like this only becomes accentuated. It's SO damn out of place but it's okay because it ****ing rocks.
HOLD IT! We can't have Kalas without his other friends or perhaps Giacomo! And what should Kalas's Final Smash be anyway? Perhaps his ultimate finisher?
What makes this song so good is that it's only used for Giacomo and his gang, and it doesn't really match the rest of the music in the game, making it (and the fights where it's heard) stand out that much more compared to the other boss fights. I can honestly say that I have no clue what the music for any of the other boss fights in this game sounded like; it just wasn't memorable in comparison.
@Malgana Lmfao! I remember that part, I must of lost like 10 times on Giacomo and his 2 goons. I had like no healing items, low hp. I basically had to get lucky with healing cards. I never gave up though, and finally got it! XDD
@UzumakiLegendify Yeah lol. I just gave all my healing cards to llyude and gave him just enough offensive cards to pull off a combo into his rapsody at the end of his deck, makes it easier when you can heal whenever you need to.
@lordiisawsome23 I was stuck on that fight too. I actually RESTARTED THE GAME just so I could get rid of my rotten fruit and junk cards. anyway, you'll need to get the best cards available and best relationship between Kalas and you so that those powerful spirit cards show up often. Go for Folon and Ayme first, they do MUCH more damage than Giacomo does. After their KOd, just use Giacomo for a punching bag for 2 minutes :P It'll probably take 10 tries before you win the fight. Hope I helped :)
@Terwynd I don't know why so many people found that fight to be hard. I had not trouble beating the first time. Now, the fight against that guy who turns into a demon? He was hard as hell.
I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this, but all I really liked about this game was the music. The gameplay and voice acting were really lackluster IMO.
@Ireallylovetodance yeah but i liked the idea that you arent kalas your'e his guardian spirit. that was kinda cool. voice acting they had good people for it but not good quality for it. lyude was my favorite character.
@DarthWobbey I replayed it again recently, and I find that I could see how complex the battle system really is. I wouldn't say they were bad, but perhaps needlessly confusing. Still, I likes how you were always on your toes, changing your decks to match strengths and weaknesses. But the voice acting was pretty terrible.
This game is just too much for me, I think this game really helped my creativity as far as storylines and such.... This game is gold, and untouchable. If I ever make a game, I'll be sure to give credit to this inspiration.

@EXHellfire They can with kalas, but ( sadly) Lloyd and cress are out of reach, Lloyd I don't remeber why, but Cress I think it was because the game he is from in Nintendo is just a remix of the original (PSX IIRC)

Take out Folon first, he's more dangerous.
Ayme's attacks barely do any damage, so you don't have to defend from her much. Always take out Giacomo last.
Also, use straights a lot, and make sure your decks don't have opposing elements.

i am stuck on the 3 on 3 fighter with giacomo, ayme, and follon. anyone know who i should pick for the fight?

@lordiisawsome23 I was stuck on that fight too. I actually RESTARTED THE GAME just so I could get rid of my rotten fruit and junk cards. anyway, you'll need to get the best cards available and best relationship between Kalas and you so that those powerful spirit cards show up often. Go for Folon and Ayme first, they do MUCH more damage than Giacomo does. After their KOd, just use Giacomo for a punching bag for 2 minutes :P It'll probably take 10 tries before you win the fight. Hope I helped :)

@Terwynd I don't know why so many people found that fight to be hard. I had not trouble beating the first time. Now, the fight against that guy who turns into a demon? He was hard as hell.

@lordiisawsome23 I had on that battle Gibari, Xhella and Kalas cuz they where the ones that could preform the biggest combo's :P
but for later i use Gibari, Kalas and LYude cuz Lyude is stronger than u think and Gibari becuz he's the strongest and kalas is strong to :P

I know I'm going to get a lot of flak for this, but all I really liked about this game was the music. The gameplay and voice acting were really lackluster IMO.

@DarthWobbey I replayed it again recently, and I find that I could see how complex the battle system really is. I wouldn't say they were bad, but perhaps needlessly confusing. Still, I likes how you were always on your toes, changing your decks to match strengths and weaknesses. But the voice acting was pretty terrible.

This game is just too much for me, I think this game really helped my creativity as far as storylines and such.... This game is gold, and untouchable. If I ever make a game, I'll be sure to give credit to this inspiration.

@EXHellfire They can with kalas, but ( sadly) Lloyd and cress are out of reach, Lloyd I don't remeber why, but Cress I think it was because the game he is from in Nintendo is just a remix of the original (PSX IIRC)
