@mrhonkee His name was Bishop Bartolme' Las Casas The "indians" (the official church view was the "indians" were "animals with the gift of speech") the spaniards tried to enslave died in large numbers and the those who did not die, had the "home team " advantage. If all drugs were legalized, then the large pharma companies would take 95% of the profits. Local drug dealers on the street would lose most of their business overnight.
And I bet you'd blame the white man for for that too. "If whites hadn't legalized drugs, black men would still be able to make a living!". The white man can't win, either way.
I personally believe it's the governments fault; skin colour doesn't factor into it. If drugs weren't illegal, the black market for them would be almost non-existant, and violent drug related crime would be wiped out. Prohibition didn't work for alcohol, it wouldn't work for firearms, and it doesn't work for drugs. This is just another issue of an overbearing state telling everyone what to do, and in the process creating an entire underclass (black and white).
Hey TMOT, my brother! It's me, Pete! You know, I never told you this... but, I have blonde hair and blue eyes...can we still be friends? LOL! Always love your vids...and you, my good man. Carry on, TMOT, carry on!
The problem is that people don't see what's right in front of them. Drugs are pushed through society thru doctors on a regular basis. I don't see any of them going to jail, and some of the drugs they push are killing people faster than those illegal drugs everyone complains about.
The excuses don't win. Reality wins. They (the excuse makers) loose. I have never seen an excuse solve any problems. But I have seen good judgment win the day more times than I can count. That whole "God said don't judge" thing is taken out of context by people who don't want to be judged themselves. In reality we all judge and will be judged. The reason our community is so messed up is because we DONT judge right/wrong or the company we keep, etc.
We need MORE people calling out this drug dealers. I'm so sick and tired of people using the "it's the environment" saying to excuse self destructive behavior in our communtity such as drug dealing, gang-banging, pimping, prostitution, thugging, etc.
Amen, it's that blame game mess that keeps future generations in BS! Somewhere, somebody told them right from wrong, they just chose to keep doing wrong!
The problem in the black community is that our leaders contradict the community. Yes we all have choices to make, but for the most part somethings that some fill are choice; really arn't for others. Some people sell drugs to feed there families. We need to come together as people without criticizing each other based on sterotypes and false statistics. We need to have faith in each other, and stop worrying about how we look to other races.
The pookies of the world are the ones who refused to listen to their teachers (personal choice), refused to listen to their educators (personal choice), refused to listen to the wise brothers in the hood who have reformed themselves (personal choice) who perhaps may not have received moral instruction at home but did from another source without ever applying the moral principles (personal choice).
There are always exceptions but in most of the cases, what it comes down to is personal choices
The sad reality is that a lot of these kids who are dropping out of high school in record numbers will become drug dealers (limited options) and they gotta get paid. But once again, dropping out of high school is a "personal choice", especially when you got teachers going to the ghetto begging 17 year old boboheads to come back to school.
A lot of young cats are educated about the realities of limited education and street life/drug dealing
It is also an insult to those who do lead righteous lives and whose personal choices and decisions allowed them to make something out of themselves. And yet, they grew up in the same environment.
We do have choices people.
Pooky on the corner slanging dope to high school kids does have a choice. His environment is not the reason why he is there but rather the choices he CONSCIOUSLY made.
He knows it as well but he will say "i'm too deep in this sh.t now, I can't go back to school"
The same goes for "thugblaming". Those who decide conduct themselves as thugs are not a victim and they are not without fault - so using the "thugblaming" term to discourage people from crediting thugs for their irresponsible behavior is......
I've read a number of comments saying, "if you are raised in an environment that teaches you to do wrong" and "change the environment you change the person".
Name one drug dealer who "DOES NOT" try and evade the "LAW" when selling drugs.
You can't. Why? Because he knows it's wrong and if caught he will be held accountable.
Ergo, once you receive the knowledge of the Truth, There remains no more sacrifice.
how about the drug dealers that work with the police?(yes they do exist) how about the drug dealers that live in areas where there is practically no police around ( yes such areas do exist, even in America) now i'd go so far as to say it's your body you can sell it or do as many drugs as you like so long as you don't force other people to do drugs or sell their body it's perfectly fine - you claim to believe in free will, well if we have personal choice it comes with a sacrifice of letting-
make choices that YOU think are immoral so long as it only effects their body and their life then it is up to THEM. However, back to the drug dealers - humans aren't some sort of creature that is free from the laws of physics - we are biological machines and the truth is if you beat it into somebodies head from lets say 2 years old that being a THUG or drug dealer is the greatest thing they could do with their life then guess what? chances are that's what they will become
drug dealers and criminals are usually raised in an enviroment that advocates rebellion in all it's forms and values the almighty dollar above all else - don't matter what skin color you are if you are raised in one of these enviroments chances are you will become a product of that enviroment
change the enviroment and you'll change the people
Drug dealers are to be held accountable for their actions, they are criminals and should be judged as such. But as long as we continue to say "it is due to the environment, they don't know any better", then you have to explain to me why the majority of drug dealers are fully aware that what they are doing is morally reprehensible, even if they have a skewed sense of morality in a lot of cases and justify their actions with the falllacious resoning that hey "i'm just trying to get paid"
This is not true, the ones that I know were raised to take care of home to the best of there ability. This is an era where if you want something take it or kill your enemy to get. Look at the wars that we are in.
ppL aLways direct to one Line in the bibLe but one Line derived from an entire Story (or Book), not to mention there's aLways another verse to contradict.
and no U cannot bLame the drug deaLer 100% because U onLy know what you are taught and onLy the educated can extract. They are to bLame 100% once they receive the information. But in ignorance U cannot fuLLy bLame.
another thing: i judge and i don't think anything is wrong with that. In fact i feeL God and his workers encourage it 2 better us
before anyone disputes this Let me just say untiL you are in ALL situations you cannot say WHOM is to bLame 100%
granted you have to maintain your own psyche but when you are raised in an environment that teaches something to be right when Society feeLs it to be wrong then no i cannot say i bLame 100%
actuaLLy the LegaL system seems to agree with me as seeing as how the precedence for drug deaLing is indirect.
I was once a drug dealer. I had a choice, to sell or not to sell. Upon release from prison, same choices. This time, I chose not to. There are no excuses and as long as people make them, others will find find comfort in it and NOT CHANGE.
tell me what kind of government is so oppressive that it sends people to prison for doing the same thing it does just without a license? tell me how a drug dealer can have the free will to choose to become a drug dealer or not yet a crack head is a slave to their addiction and has lost the ability to make a choice. Tell me why we should follow the rules of a government that sends people to jail and prison just for doing or selling drugs? doesn't your body belong to you?
wow those are aLL very good points. Geeze if you're not an activist you shouLd think about becoming 1.
Cambodia is where a Lot of drugs are made from the coca Leaf. The coca Leaf is actuaLLy good for you. But since they have a treaty with us (USA) they are not aLLowed to grow it anymore. It seems our gov wouLd Lose money from the naturaL good for you product being soLd more than the chemicaL crack.
that's right if U put crack heads on coca Leaf they weLL no Longer have an addiction.
now you know before I speak I Like to anaLyze the situation.
I used to say the same thing. Take responsibiLity for your actions. But the truth is, one cannot assume responsibiLity without knowLedge. Adn to educate yourseLf on not onLy the fact you did but WHY you did wouLd heLp to not proceed with the action again.
I have seen situations where 10 year oLds were seLLing drugs. Yes that 10year oLd has to take responsibiLity, but we have to educate him to show him WHY it is happening. (cont)
I think you are confusing ignorance (not knowing any better) with choices people make on purpose despite knowing that it is wrong or knowing what the consequences are.
now say 10 years Later that same guy is now 20 and he is stiLL seLLing drugs and aLL he sees is the great aspects of it. He wiLL continue. You see this once 10 year oLd obtained the drugs from his dad, and his dad toLd him he was going to show him how to be a man. His dad just got out of jaiL and is now trying to teach his son right. the same son he once toLd he had to be a man and make money by seLLing drugs. I guess he Learned something in jaiL that he did not Learn on the streets.(cont again)
whatever it was that he Learned, he Learned it to Late, but he now feeLs it is not too Late for his son. If onLy he owuLd have been educated before. But so what its ALL his fauLt, and whenever his son goes to jaiL or die it wiLL be ALL his fauLt too ~right>?
Last scenario i promise ;)
i was dating a guy that was seLLing drugs. I did not know at first but once I found out i toLd him he had to stop or i wouLd Leave him. He then expLained to me that he never wanted to (cont Last time)
it seems his mom was making him. I see this situation aLL the time in the hood, these ppL are brought up into it. Yes they know right from wrong, but they do not know of the strenuous vaLues. i mean have you ever had a conversation with ignorant ppL?
These peopLe can't even hoLd a conversation, Let aLone think out the entire process of WHY they shouLdn't be doing something.
They need rehabiLitation. They need to be properLy educated because they know nothing eLse.
i guess my main point is that there is a thing called learned helplessness and people think that the ways to fix this is as simple as moving or as simple as *choosing not to do it* as this guy claims but the truth is difficult problems require difficult solutions nothing is ever as simple as most people on youtube would like to make them out to be and we are living in a country with more people in jail than any other and more people in prison for drugs than any other reason so it's kinda sad
- to see people paint solutions to the problem as simple as taking responsibility for their actions free will is an illusion and the truth is that humans are not separate from the rest of the universe we are all victims of cause and effect and if the effect is a man becomes a drug dealer than the truth is the situation he was in whether it be the way his brain is shaped or the environment he's been raised in ( or she for that matter) than there was no other effect that could have became of
free will is NOT an illusion. Despite all that goes on around outside of you, you still have the choice of how to respond internally.
It's not "the situation" it's the character of the person and nothing but that person can fix it. We have laws don't we? Laws that these people full well know are against what they do yet they still choose (as TMOT says) to do this.
As far as environment, that's a cop out. There are plenty of screw ups who come from well to do families and environments.
i just hate it when people are forced to take on the consequences of their situation especially when those consequences do nothing to correct the original situation and instead make it worst
why is the solution to crime always jail? why do humans attack the criminal and not the crime itself? all im saying is that it would seem more practical to me to fix up the neighborhoods that promote drugs rather than break up more families by sending these people to jail
"why is the solution to crime always jail? why do humans attack the criminal and not the crime itself?" I"d be curious to know your response after a loved has been butchered and raped.
"break up more families by sending these people to jail" - what makes you think these people are benefitting their "family?" maybe removing them is the best thing. How much of a father/mother do you think they're capable of being?
Even the Bible speaks of Crime and The Prescribed Punishment. Good Lord.
I guess if a man rapes your child, rather than send him to jail, we should send him to sensitivity training and also explain that when you violate someone's body, it causes mental and physical trauma.
Then that will make the rapist more aware of how he is damaging others and cause him to be more sensitive to the feelings of others.
I can't believe fools still blame the white man for stuff. They should blame the white woman (I'm just joking...lol). The people that oppress me are the ones who look like me.
and I will do whatever I have to do to get paid, even if it's wrong, I gotta feed my family". WE HAVE TO CHANGE WHAT IS IN OURSELVES, naturally the environment will change. You can't just change the environment, people living in such environments have to make a change in their lives, considering the fact that they are the ones who make the environment unsafe and unlivable through their actions and behavior
Anyway I just want to say RIP to Corey Mclaurin, a young brother who was murdered by an African American of course here in Chicago. I saw his picture in a window today, looks like he was about 16 or 17 years old. Police haven't caught the killer yet (no snitch policy on our plantations). Sometimes I wonder when my turn is going to come, I know that I am destined to be killed by an African American. May Allah sub7ana wa ta"Ala grant me jennah/paradise amîn, as well as Corey Mclaurin ciao
Also, there should be zero tolerance for drug users as well, they pose a threat, when they don't have their fix, they become a threat and will even kill to get a buck or two.
We have to adopt a zero tolerance mentality
Police officers are not exactly known for being our "best friends" but we have to work with them and abandon this attitude Which consists of saying "the pigs wont do anything"
There are a lot of respectable law enforcement agents
I'm going to tell you the truth, this is a war and like in any war, there will be casualties. The heartless gangsters, the pimps, the drug dealers have guns and SO DO WE. What can a few drug dealers and gangsters do against an entire army of righteous, dignified and courageous soldiers?
Eliminate or be eliminated. Drug dealers, pimps and gangsters are not worthy of living among the civilized.
If we act, of course there will be retaliation but that is the price to pay.
this goes back to the videos Tmot has made about black mothers raising monsters. The problem is that kids are growing up in houses where mama is always placing the blame on somebody else. they blame the daddy for not being there they blame the system for not giving them enough well fare they blame they're parents for not helping them out and all the while these young black chidren are listening and copy everything mama is saying. they don't take responsibility for themselves and blame others
However there is this unwritten rule of "no snitching" by which we feel obligated to abide, we look the other way, shaking our heads saying "oh Jesus, please help these young brothers and sisters". Jesus was a man of action, not a coward. When I witness illegal activity, I don't start praying, I call the police folks, yep, you wanna behave like a slave, i'm going to put your slave a.. behind bars.
The lives of our precious African American children are too sacred to be complicit through silence
Drug users have to take personal responsibility for their actions.
Drug dealers cannot be let off the hook either, their actions are criminal and should be punished with great severity.
Also, on a lot of African American plantations, people know who the drug dealers are and where the drug houses are
SILENCE IS COMPLICITY. If we actually tried to organize and work in cooperation with the police, yes I said "POLICE", we could easily turn these plantations into respectable neighborhoods
to an African American drug dealer somewhere in the area. When I see these poor sisters and BROTHERS, I don't see the White man, I see personal accountability and responsibility.
I also see the African American man, not Mr White Anglosaxon.
Truth is, most African American drug users get their "death" because that's what it ultimately brings, get their death from fellow African Americans who are "just trying to feed their family" so they say
Everytime you point your finger at someone, there are three pointing right back at you.
White man this, White man that...
When i'm at Walgreens and cracked out sisters come up to me in the store with the same line "my brother, can you spare a little bit of change, i'm just trying to take the bus", my heart just shatters into a million pieces.
Of course I don't give them anything because I don't want to have their death on my conscience.
I already know they're just going to give the money
I am so tired of hearing "It's the white man's fault, white devil, blah... blah... blah..." I have to delete e-mails in my YT inbox all of the time for people calling me a sellout, Uncle Tom, and some even worse than that! I had to set my mail account to friends only! It's crazy! People need to get a life!!!
The white man is not the problem....having no moral character is the problem. Many black kids dont have good role models at home and do not learn to have a good work ethic. These kids are growing up angry and are prone to violence and drugs because they live in an environment that is more like a jungle than a civilized community. They listen to rap music which tells them to hate the police and any type of authority, and that guns and drugs are the way out of poverty instead of an education.
Drugs have been put in poor communities of all colors of people. I think it is messed up that the government and companies did this to poor communities, especially minority communities, because we are really suffering from it. We were and are treated wrong but we have to stay strong out of respect for ourselves and those who have died for us. If we fall for their traps we are just as stupid as them.
It is ludicrous. The path of certain manufacturing and distribution of drugs may go back to a certain white man ultimately, but it's about accountability on the individual, something many people in this day and age avoid.
Tmot, you don't know how good it is to hear the words you just spoke!! In this country we have a "victim mentality" and its destroying this nation. Keep on with the wisdom..God knows there are plenty out there who need to hear it!
I'll admit we african american's are responsible for our own action's. But i will say this in society there are obstical's that are built to put our people in these condition's.
True but i wished that non african american's would wake up and realize that we don't tolerate that extra crap that they be trying to impose upon us. Lol some of these non african american actually believe that we tolerate our women being prostitute's and that we love to purchase there drug's and lust for there women.
Free Will...we all make our own decisions and have to be held accountable for our own actions, be they Good, Bad, or otherwise. Its gotten easier to BLAME someone else rather than holding ourselves to a higher standard...Great Video TMOT....Yer Buddy...Doc
Thank You!! This needed to be said! Drug dealers, gang members, and other criminals make it hard for black people to live in their own neighborhoods. I don't coddle criminals. I also agree on the "don't judge" bs that seems to be spreading these days.
Brother Tmot, I've had ENOUGH of that crap. Thanks for addressing the lame excuse or habit of accepting all this negativity & blaming the White man for everything that's wrong. Our people RUN AWAY from any form of Self Accountability !
Nice video.

We need MORE people calling out this drug dealers. I'm so sick and tired of people using the "it's the environment" saying to excuse self destructive behavior in our communtity such as drug dealing, gang-banging, pimping, prostitution, thugging, etc.

Big up to you Bruhman09, the "it's the environment" is just an excuse, as you said, good points

PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago
The sad reality is that a lot of these kids who are dropping out of high school in record numbers will become drug dealers (limited options) and they gotta get paid. But once again, dropping out of high school is a "personal choice", especially when you got teachers going to the ghetto begging 17 year old boboheads to come back to school.
A lot of young cats are educated about the realities of limited education and street life/drug dealing
PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago 2
It is also an insult to those who do lead righteous lives and whose personal choices and decisions allowed them to make something out of themselves. And yet, they grew up in the same environment.
We do have choices people.
Pooky on the corner slanging dope to high school kids does have a choice. His environment is not the reason why he is there but rather the choices he CONSCIOUSLY made.
He knows it as well but he will say "i'm too deep in this sh.t now, I can't go back to school"
PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago

Drug dealers know what they do is wrong.
Therefore, they have a choice.
End of Story.

how about the drug dealers that work with the police?(yes they do exist) how about the drug dealers that live in areas where there is practically no police around ( yes such areas do exist, even in America) now i'd go so far as to say it's your body you can sell it or do as many drugs as you like so long as you don't force other people to do drugs or sell their body it's perfectly fine - you claim to believe in free will, well if we have personal choice it comes with a sacrifice of letting-
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
make choices that YOU think are immoral so long as it only effects their body and their life then it is up to THEM. However, back to the drug dealers - humans aren't some sort of creature that is free from the laws of physics - we are biological machines and the truth is if you beat it into somebodies head from lets say 2 years old that being a THUG or drug dealer is the greatest thing they could do with their life then guess what? chances are that's what they will become
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
This video is not about IDIOTS who destroy their own bodies by using drugs. This video was about Dealers who Choose to sell.
I think drugs should be legalized for two reasons:
1. It will put dealers out of business
2. Users can OD freely and fewer left to contend with in society.
(Attrition at its best)
End of Story.

drug dealers and criminals are usually raised in an enviroment that advocates rebellion in all it's forms and values the almighty dollar above all else - don't matter what skin color you are if you are raised in one of these enviroments chances are you will become a product of that enviroment
change the enviroment and you'll change the people
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
Drug dealers are to be held accountable for their actions, they are criminals and should be judged as such. But as long as we continue to say "it is due to the environment, they don't know any better", then you have to explain to me why the majority of drug dealers are fully aware that what they are doing is morally reprehensible, even if they have a skewed sense of morality in a lot of cases and justify their actions with the falllacious resoning that hey "i'm just trying to get paid"
PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago
This is not true, the ones that I know were raised to take care of home to the best of there ability. This is an era where if you want something take it or kill your enemy to get. Look at the wars that we are in.

Jamie,
I was once a drug dealer. I had a choice, to sell or not to sell. Upon release from prison, same choices. This time, I chose not to. There are no excuses and as long as people make them, others will find find comfort in it and NOT CHANGE.
Peace.

tell me what kind of government is so oppressive that it sends people to prison for doing the same thing it does just without a license? tell me how a drug dealer can have the free will to choose to become a drug dealer or not yet a crack head is a slave to their addiction and has lost the ability to make a choice. Tell me why we should follow the rules of a government that sends people to jail and prison just for doing or selling drugs? doesn't your body belong to you?

His mom was "making him" sell drugs? How old was this guy?
dealmaker007 2 years ago
i guess my main point is that there is a thing called learned helplessness and people think that the ways to fix this is as simple as moving or as simple as *choosing not to do it* as this guy claims but the truth is difficult problems require difficult solutions nothing is ever as simple as most people on youtube would like to make them out to be and we are living in a country with more people in jail than any other and more people in prison for drugs than any other reason so it's kinda sad
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
- to see people paint solutions to the problem as simple as taking responsibility for their actions free will is an illusion and the truth is that humans are not separate from the rest of the universe we are all victims of cause and effect and if the effect is a man becomes a drug dealer than the truth is the situation he was in whether it be the way his brain is shaped or the environment he's been raised in ( or she for that matter) than there was no other effect that could have became of
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
free will is NOT an illusion.
There are plenty of screw ups who come from well to do families and environments.
dw3541 2 years ago
him(or her) but i digress
i just hate it when people are forced to take on the consequences of their situation especially when those consequences do nothing to correct the original situation and instead make it worst
why is the solution to crime always jail? why do humans attack the criminal and not the crime itself? all im saying is that it would seem more practical to me to fix up the neighborhoods that promote drugs rather than break up more families by sending these people to jail
jinnypigs4life 2 years ago
"why is the solution to crime always jail? why do humans attack the criminal and not the crime itself?" I"d be curious to know your response after a loved has been butchered and raped.
"break up more families by sending these people to jail" - what makes you think these people are benefitting their "family?" maybe removing them is the best thing. How much of a father/mother do you think they're capable of being?
dw3541 2 years ago
@dw3541 - Bravo.
My Lord.

PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago
Also, there should be zero tolerance for drug users as well, they pose a threat, when they don't have their fix, they become a threat and will even kill to get a buck or two.
We have to adopt a zero tolerance mentality
Police officers are not exactly known for being our "best friends" but we have to work with them and abandon this attitude Which consists of saying "the pigs wont do anything"
There are a lot of respectable law enforcement agents

You know those neighborhood watch signs that we don't take seriously? I'm talking about a new neighborhood watch, everyone playing their part.

Everything has a price

this goes back to the videos Tmot has made about black mothers raising monsters. The problem is that kids are growing up in houses where mama is always placing the blame on somebody else. they blame the daddy for not being there they blame the system for not giving them enough well fare they blame they're parents for not helping them out and all the while these young black chidren are listening and copy everything mama is saying. they don't take responsibility for themselves and blame others
blac56 2 years ago
However there is this unwritten rule of "no snitching" by which we feel obligated to abide, we look the other way, shaking our heads saying "oh Jesus, please help these young brothers and sisters". Jesus was a man of action, not a coward. When I witness illegal activity, I don't start praying, I call the police folks, yep, you wanna behave like a slave, i'm going to put your slave a.. behind bars.
The lives of our precious African American children are too sacred to be complicit through silence
PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago
Drug users have to take personal responsibility for their actions.
Drug dealers cannot be let off the hook either, their actions are criminal and should be punished with great severity.
Also, on a lot of African American plantations, people know who the drug dealers are and where the drug houses are
SILENCE IS COMPLICITY. If we actually tried to organize and work in cooperation with the police, yes I said "POLICE", we could easily turn these plantations into respectable neighborhoods
PrinceNoirAmericain 2 years ago
to an African American drug dealer somewhere in the area.

The white man is not the problem....having no moral character is the problem. Many black kids dont have good role models at home and do not learn to have a good work ethic. These kids are growing up angry and are prone to violence and drugs because they live in an environment that is more like a jungle than a civilized community. They listen to rap music which tells them to hate the police and any type of authority, and that guns and drugs are the way out of poverty instead of an education.
theloyalone100 2 years ago 4
Drugs have been put in poor communities of all colors of people. I think it is messed up that the government and companies did this to poor communities, especially minority communities, because we are really suffering from it. We were and are treated wrong but we have to stay strong out of respect for ourselves and those who have died for us. If we fall for their traps we are just as stupid as them.
