Fuck man, I had a dream about this a few nights ago, I woke up shaking and ghasping for air. Scariest shit I've seen, and worse than any Shining scene in the world.
That's the way I watched and really scared the shit out of me... One of the scariest scenes in TV ever... I felt like running the hell away as soon as possible!!!...
I had a few nightmares with BOB and other Twin Peaks scenes, I remember , when I was a teenager under 15, one night I was so f***n scared after watching one episode, that I sat on my bed and cried for like an hour... I was SO SCARED of those scenes... It was about 1993-1994 when Twin Peaks was broadcasted in Poland. I remember this fear and mind buggle to this day... :) They should forbid teenagers to watch it. This is really freaky and sick, really psychodelic. More than "Blair witch project".
it really looks like he is coming out pf the screen to get you doesnt it,I remember nearly falling off my couch when I seen this.I wonder if this scene was the inspiration for ring.
Great to see everyone who was a kid when they watched this originally brave it again like i just did, lets all give ourserlves a pat on the back for being brave
I keep watching this in the hopes it will desensitize me, no luck.. he still scares the hell out of me! :(. What a great series to have such an effect on me like this.
If i was her i would wait until he gets closer and then grab the lamp and then WHACK,smash t.he lamp on his ugly forehead....he'll be dreaming in disneyland.
why did I purposely search for this scene right before going to bed? must be losing my mind. now I need to watch the interview with the guy who plays Bob so I know it's just a character and not a real man about to invade my dreams
i just wish someone would upload the scene wherein Bob screams and laughs hysterically ... its the most intense acting ive ever seen that particular scene :)
woah, try watching this by yourself at night with all the lights off and the doors unlocked. this scared the crap out of me when i first saw it last year, and i was 24
i saw this when it orginally aired and i was about 12 years old and it scared the ever living christ out of me. i still have a hard time watching it, or any scene with bob for that matter.
One of the most scary scenes of the entire Twin Peaks! Fantastic scene, fantastic TV-show!! Only the scene when Ronnette Pulasky wakes up in the hospital and get's a flashback of the murder of Laura Palmer is more scary(the end of the first episode of the second season of Twin Peaks) than this!
I just watched this series for the first time on dvd, and i gotta say what the hell happened to tv since the late 90's? this was almost 20 years ago and is 100 times better than anything on today
BOB aka Frank Silva ( who is dead now by the way) was'nt originally cast to play BOB he was just working on set design when David Lynch saw him coming out from behind a piece of furniture and found the vision scary....so he asked frank to play bob. That is the genius of David Lynch to see things in real life and then capture them on film. Hands down BOB is the most frightening character ever to grace our screens.
I just cant watch this... :D I try but I can't! I've seen this scene once and it was way too scary for me. Love Twin Peaks though, but when I watch it from the DVD I always skip this scene.. :)
Lynch must be a genius, he creates such a strong feeling...
It doesent take to be a genius to make this, just imagine what would scare the shit out of you and film it and thats exacly what he did, obviously he was right with his generalization of feelings.
@cabarrera Ok can u stop insulting? He made a great show hat off , but i think in movies directors try not to scare people too much so its a pleasurable fear , still theres something very creepy and sinister about this that takes some good creativity
@sivko23 Ok. I apologise. You are making a good point. It is just that the merit of Lynch is to make easy what is really difficult. It seems easy to find something that really scare us, but actually it is very difficult to show it on the screen with all the right elements (sound, music, images). That is what makes great this scene and any movie from Lynch.
@cabarrera Ok, it hurt a bit but i recovered, yes i think could scare people even more but he knew we would probably get a heart attack if he went so far. :)
@sivko23 Second part: Just compare it with any horror movie nowadays, full of loud music and annoying noises. That is what makes the difference between any director and a real author. The ability to appeal to our deepest fears and showing with such class. Again I apologise if I offended you. Thanks for reply and have a nice life.
@kampa81 Agree,I was sleepless because of some scenes, this one is really really freaking scary, psychodelic and phobic.I also remember other scene, when Laura's mother cries in other female shoulders, and then she sees Laura instead, and then suddenly she sees BOB behind the bed.
