  • God is a very very merciful God. Remeber how God pronounced judgement against Niniveh?

And when they repented after ther preaching of Jonah GOD relented and had mercy. No matter what a person has done in this life. My name is Jonas :) if you think you have committed this sin please write to me at joray@gmx.ch

  • I disagree. I believe Jesus is speaking of types of sin. He is talking about mortal sin. It only takes one unrepented mortal sin to enter into hell. That is a sin unto death. Other than that I do agree with the fact that habitual sin is harder to turn away from because people get used to it until they don't realize it's wrong or no longer have the willpower to change.

  • sin unto dead is when GOD take your live is not talking about salvation read the bible better pipper

  • I'm not sure I agree with Piper on this one but I can't say I understand the verse myself. I recall somewhere in the bible Paul speaking of sin bringing death. The first kind of death but not the second. Where it has been explained to me that when someone with salvation sins so much and does such damage to the church and mission of Christ that God kills them to remove them from the fight. I wonder if these to verses are related somehow. Can someone remind me where that verse is located please???

  • Sin is the worst thing imaginable and is to be avoided at all costs. The worst thing anyone can do is treat sin as if it was cigarettes thinking that one day they will smoke no more and that it's only cigarettes. A person, especially a believer should never let sin be a part of their life. Nothing is more serious and more damaging that what sin does because the wage of sin equals death and death equals eternal damnation and the weight of sin is more heavy than anything imaginable.

  • I dissagree, repentance is the work of God... God can make you repent whatever.

  • @desasterz see luke 13:3 and 5... Jesus commanded men to repent... he did not command God to make them repent. Hope this brings light.

    God Bless!

  • @desasterz God give's us free will to choose Him and when we repent we are turning from sin to follow him.So, yes God could force us but, he give's us free will. And in choosing him we have guidelines we must follow.

  • The way I see it is if you're not dead its not too late but I do believe that if you put it off, you will reach a point where the only reason you are repenting is because you are about to die. However I have heard stories of people who are about to die and have repented so like I said it's never too late.

  • I'm almost positive I've committed this sin. This clip seems to be pretty consistent with my experiences...it's terrifying...

  • @dclark3062

I don't think so... if you can still recognize sin in your life you are not beyond redemption. I hope you are in a better place now... praying for you!

  • So, God's mercy is not infinite then?

  • so does this mean that someone can sin to a point where they ask for forgiveness and God says no? Or does it mean that they will sin to a point where they are no longer able to feel God's conviction and thus no longer able to come to a point of repentence? hmmm.

  • @ccsniper the latter - and its a good point too!

  • Can someone give me the link to a full sermon?

  • scary thought.... but amen

  • A mans way of rightousness is what leads to death. "There is a way that seemths right to a man, but in the end leads to death." Trying to do whats right in your site and not seeing gods grace, is a lifestlye that leads unto death. But with christ seeing him is what leads unto everlasting life.

  • Powerful.

  • a transgresser of the law is a transgresser of the law..............he that obeys the law loves his brother and he that doesnt obey the law, murders his brother---only the blood of Jesus can set us free from and its stain--we can only enter into Gods holy presence if we eat and drink and remembrance of him--this is the only means by which we can be saved---the flesh and blood of Jesus is magic mushrooms and magic mushroom tea and thats the holy truth---check out my uploads to study more on this

  • Amen! Praise God almighty for living through Piper and speaking this.

  • One of my favorite people of all time...great message, and very true...but of course it has to be true...it's the Word of MY GOD.
