a) Popeye is for all ages (at least the more violent shorts, anyway), whereas the aforementioned dinosaur is for the kiddies

b) Popeye's the first American popular culture icon to promote a real life product (spinach) and have a statue in his honor (in Segar's hometown of Chester, IL)

c) Popeye's always been entertaining, whereas the dim-witted dino should've been extinct years ago
