did you find out if it was the color wheel? I thought it was the large fan that cools the bulb. I am hesitant to buy a new color wheel if there is nothing wrong with it.

i was about today it's your colour wheel but i just noticed your reply lol. anyways you should take the back panel off and clean all the dust out helps keep it cool and short free. if you remove the two access panels from the side of the box you can clean the lens.
