Her voice has always struck me as that of someone of a much older age. She was only in her twenties in these interviews, but she sounds almost matronly to me. Just a thought.
@YellowMangerCalling Yes I have always thought that as well, that she sounded so much older than she was. You can also detect a hint of a English accent from her years living in England.
@YellowMangerCalling Yeah I always think the exact same thing! I couldn't believe the way her voice sounded the first time I heard it. It seems so lacking in spontaneity which isn't something I imagined Plath lacked in real life / her personality.
Thank you so much for posting this! It is delightful, and with the kind of attention to detail and evocative images that made older documentaries so special. Not too many like these nowadays :( I am a big fan of Sylvia Plath and seeing this meant a lot to me, thanks for posting!
Going by the video quality, clothes and hairstyles I would place this documentary during the 60's maybe the 70's. Also in part 1 of this series the narrator stated that Sylvia died recently.
Wonderful, Thanks for Posting

The recording of Ocean 1212W is very hard to find. I think it was made for the BBC. It sounds awesome. Anyone know where to find it please post.

my guess is that it's a piece from a major compositor

Anyone know what's the music piece called that starts at 2:09? Is it from a larger composition, or was it made especially for this documentary?
