saw him at the narrows center in fall river ma. sat almost right next to him,what a great guy and huge talent. been a fan since the early dregs. he did a 'meet and greet' after this show and he dave and van all signed this cd. unbelievably humble and gracious considering he's one of the best players on the planet...only a handful of players are in this relm,jeff beck comes to mind...

There are only a few guys in steve morses class ,and you can count them on one hand , I saw him many times in the 80s his bass player was from Raleigh NC " Jerry Peak", look up the stuff he played on ,it will blow you away.

I bumped into this because I was looking for more of Steve Moore the Mad drummer.... perhaps these two should get together.... Morse is good but still needs "finish". i think plying with Moore, he might get challenged a a bit and pick up the pace, so he can slow down and put feeling into it. Great playing is not as good projection, he needs to project and that requires commitment. Commitment to the music. Listen to a bit of Stevie Ray, then kick it right.. (good but sloppy, needs finish)

@nunyadambusnes1 what are you talking about? morse is as technically sound as they come on the guitar. everybody knows stevie ray bud, and steve morse is light years ahead of him melodically, technically, and just all around as a musician. I love stevie ray but he can't touch morse in any way shape or form

My fav guitarist, but keeps repeating same things over and over. Could have been a track from Coast to Coast, Stainless Steel, etc... Love the tone but I d like to hear something new frm u Steve. No offense but starting to get bored with same licks. Still my best, but you DO need honest fans and not sheeps to get better.

@aeolikos : When I first heard these tunes, I was doing other stuff, working on the computer with these tunes on the background. My reaction was the same: “come on Steve, come up with something new!” When I listened to these tunes again, late at night, doing nothing else, it blew my mind! Ok, some of his riffs may sound repetitive but listen to the whole band and the parts structure. I can’t explain, it’s like eating at your favourite restaurant: you know the flavour but it still tastes good.

Steve Morse is the Height to which all of us mortal guitar players aspire. I love the excellent performances by all the musicians on this piece. The mix seems a bit loud but I can hear through it.

@GuyFDuff through his playing with Morse, I have come to appreciate the fellow LaRue. I am glad they have found each other. Morse's chops have made Larue grow and LaRue has this rare depth, calm, and love thing that is good for Morse because it is a damn lonely world out there when even your own drummer does not get the songs. Morse is in some thin air. His endurance is an inspiration, dude has taken a lot crap.

Some musicians like to just 'put out another CD' to keep the name out there and the money coming in. Morse, OTOH, continues to put out quality material

They opened the show last night in SJC, CA. with this tune. I was 8 feet from Dave's bass cabinets. 2 ampegs, 16 speakers. One of the loudest shows I've ever seen. I thought my face was going to melt. Just awesome!
