  • You guys are sooo right! A BMW that looks like everyone elses bmw. The instruments look like boring shit from 1982! And how much? $60 K plus!!!? fuck me. I asked my women's friends what they thought..They got smiley with dirty thoughts looking at the caddy, said they would look "cute" driving the bmw, and my 52 year old female cousin is buying the new A5. Yeh, nuf said. The caddy will be my throbing beast!

  • hi everyday drive! i have a question. is it a good idea to buy a second hand 335is?.. are the second hand bmw's reliable within 5 years old? how about the maintaince fee? and i heard that some cars will lose horse powers as they age.. will the that happen to the bmw? thank you!

  • What are people talking about the 335is being junk? I own a 335i not a 335is)coupe and can tell you that there are a lot of people who wonder why BMW didn't put the far more capable and "tune-able" N54 twin turbo motor in the M3. BMW took heed and basically made that car.

The 335is has most of of the shared suspension and driveline components of the M3 (including the optional DCT) with the N54 motor. The only disappointment still being no limited slip differential.

  • personally I like the undestated styling of this car.

  • imo the bmw is much easier on the eye than that Cadillac in a positive way(just better looking no matter what) and i think i speak for the majority.

  • @Dreadzedan Are you kidding me.. Boring vanilla..No sex appeal, and the price? You look like every other guy on the road.. You might as well drive a honda civic. I love the snob appeal, even from people driving BMW's bottom of the line cars. :) To each his own I guess.

  • get a m-series and you will get the ultimate driving experience. wouldn't expect to have it in every single bmw eg a 2.0l diesel.

  • I like your show but it feels like you are missing the point with the 3 series. Driving pleasure is not about power. It's about the fun to drive, doesn't matter if it's a 1.6 or a 3l turbo.

Also what I love about the 3 series is that it does not stand out. Don't want anyone to know what engine I drive.

  • how many hp 335is??

  • These generation of BMW's had the worse interiors. Everything is too simple, too symmetrical, and unappealing. The last generations were also simple, but weren't as boring and symmetrical as the current generation. I have to say though, the new generation of BMW's interiors do look nice. The new 3 series interior just looks fantastic. Audi better watch out.

  • 0-60 is closer to 4.8 then 5.0

  • @thedenimvault I think 5.0 is factory-claimed, but people can get 4.7-8 on stock, even faster with ECU chip.

  • nobody buys the IS. it's junk. they either go for the 335, or the occasional old guy who has $ to burn but is too embarrassed to be seen in an M3.

  • Y'know I sat in a friends 3 series years ago. Then sat in the new 2012 760Li at a price of about $136,000. The interiors then and now are exactly the same. Boring, out-dated by everyone else on the market and just NOT what you would expect for the money you pay for. Very disappointing in my opinion.

  • Reason number 1 to buy a BMW: Persian ancestry! has anyone watched that episode of family guy? LOL

  • great but too expensive, i bought the 328 xdrive and am supremely happy (there is snow where i live :/ )

  • Anyone else's heart stop at 1:28 and feel like he was swerving off the road

  • this car cost as much as the cts- v might as well got that and compared it ... it would be no contest

  • I love plain interiors. For me, everything should be facing the driver and within easy reach.

I drove a new Accord the other day and my head almost exploded. I couldn't find anything on that ridiculous dash.

  • "It looks like just another BMW". And the same could be said for Audis. The only cool German cars these days are the Mercedes Benz models.

  • $57,000! And then add in all the extras (typical BMW, they leave most goodies out, and you're looking at $75,000 easy. For a 3-series. LOL.

  • keep up the good work guys, i only watch 2 car shows, everyday driver channel and top gear!

  • @xuyuanduan - Wow. We consider that quite a compliment. Top Gear is in a class by themselves so it's nice to get mentioned in the same sentence! Thanks for watching and commenting.

Tell a friend or two. And feel free to join us on Facebook, Twitter, etc. - you know, the usual places. ;-)

  • @EverydayDriver To be honest, I kind of like your reviews better than the top gear. Don't get me wrong, I love top gear and think Clarkson and Hammond make critical points, but when it comes down to getting quick, and technical info about cars it falls short. Like there is just too much goofing around and I get bored watching it sometimes...I think they can improve it by ditching the "Star in the reasonably priced car" and the following interview instead add in more raw car discussion/reviews!

  • @EverydayDriver I think you guys are a lot better than Top Gear. It's refreshing to hear something other than biased British nonsense from that clown of a journalist Clarkson...

  • cadillac for style.....ha hah ha ha

  • uhmmmm anyone else notice the false information on this car??? the 335is is a SINGLE twin-scrolling turbo (two inlet manifolds for more consistent early power), different from the 335i/xi which has the twin turbo.Do your research guys =/

  • @TheAssass1n - We don't claim to be infallible. But in this case, it's a Twin Turbo inline six. If you don't believe us look at reviews from others: Autoblog, Edmunds, Car & Driver who all discuss the engine (the older N54 also in the Z4) as having two turbos.

Again, we don't claim to be perfect, but lots of others have said the same thing about this engine.

  • @EverydayDriver I own one your right.

  • @EverydayDriver Very true. The 335is is the only 335 to still use the N54 Twin Turbo. Instead of the N55 Twin scroll

  • @TheAssass1n This 335is does NOT have the single turbo N55 motor yet.

  • @TheAssass1n It uses the older twin-turbo N54 engine, not the newer N55 engine that newer 335's use.

  • My dad has this car and when I borrow it to go to school or go downtown I can just feel the jealousy being directed at me lol. This car will actually get you noticed, if not for the exclusive rims, the heavenly and unique exhaust that they didn't mention lol.

  • the M3 is such a big commitment and you get hit with a gas guzzler tax of 1300 so i think this car is kinda worth it to me.

  • this is a complete rip off

  • 335is = 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. Not bad for a daily driver!

  • So many things about this video that I disagree w/, minus that fact that they are all great cars. I don't have much experience w/ the Audi, but I have the 335is and my brother has the CTS. I like almost everything about the BMW over the Caddy and I far prefer the performance and interior of the BMW over the other two. Most refined interiors on the planet in your opinion, but I think the dash, gear selector and wheel on the Audi look outdated and busy. Can't argue w/ the perf #'s of the 335is.

  • They're right folks. Very nice car. But 57 GRAND for that????

  • OK, these guys don't like the interior? A BMW's interior is purposely understated. You do not buy a Bimmer for every bell and whistle with billions of buttons. It's simple. Exactly what BMW is meant to be. You own a Bimmer to DRIVE It. I will admit a near 60K 335is is overpriced. I have the 328 xdrive. Power is actually pretty good for the smaller engine. I have no qualms with the interior. Disagree fully with these guys.

  • great video guys but that BMW is a Big Money Waster

  • are you patrick bateman????

  • i disagree when he says no one will say "oooo nice car!!!" I would!!

  • For your safety, do not drive on the left side of the road:)

  • they bitch way too much

  • Kongu... Engine primarily. V8 vs inline turbo six

  • What's the difference of this and an M3?

  • i dont get how they dont like the looks of it. the first time i saw one, i was at a bimmer meet and it pulled up and i was like what is that? out of all the cars there it stood out the most to me. i love the way these look. i like the back better than the m3's.

  • @mmacquoid i agree with you man , i don't understand some peoples perspectives, Out of all the 3 series BMW's this one sticks out the most to me also.

  • Oh if I had an 335is people would notice ;)

  • great video guys, nice job!

  • i fucken hate these guys soooo much they do not no what they are talking about

  • I feel the interior of this bmw looks better than the S5

  • Bmw haters get a life!!

  • @supermanny239 Lose the snobbery.. Boring interiors and over priced, and they all look the same. maybe thats what you want.

  • When you buy a 3xx series, you will always look up to the M3. When you buy the M3... you will never look back.

  • Great job guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @EverydayDriver I forgot to mention I watch your show too because InsideLineVideo's 0-60 testing annoys me.They always include roll-out.Pretentious dicks...What?Are we supposed to think they are smart? If I would have any criticism for your show it would be that you don't beat the piss out of the cars quite enough for my liking. I realize it could be illegal, but so be it. Great camera work and commentary though.THIS IS a Youtube comment so excuse me for sounding as trashy and biased as possible.

  • Thanks for the video review guys.....I own this car and have also driven the M3 as well. The M3 is a God of a machine but the great thing about the 335is is how torquey it is at lower rpm's. As most of my driving is in the city unfortunately, it's great to have that kind of torque at the low revs, so the power is much more easily attainable....as great as the M3 is, it's much more suited to highway driving as its power delivery is reached at higher rpm's....the 335is is beastly off the line

  • oh my god thank you for finally saying the truth... BMW's ARE BORING

  • @EverydayDriver great review. you guys are REALLY good.. i wish you had 10x the subscribers.

  • so I guess u pay 57 grand 4 a motor lol

  • S5 Please!!!!

  • Why do u guys takes long to post your video, I check my subscriptions for you everyday? Wasn't all of it shot on the same dayday?

  • come on S5 come on

  • Oh Yes the Americans really make a car that can compare to BMW! Boring.

The basic 3 series is better than most Amercan cars.

You guys need to get real!!!!

  • Oh Yes the Americans really make a car that can compare to BMW. Boring.

  • I believe these guys already have the episodes filmed however I figure they wait a month to upload the next one to tease us.

  • I remember hearing that the engine has a lot more potential that can be brought out with a little tuning

  • you know, ppl love your videos, im sure theres a lot ppl out there willing to volunteer some kinda service to help u get these out quicker

  • not a fan of a 3 coupe. The 3 series personifies "sports sedan" when they take that away it kinda ruins the car for me. I can see why people like it but I just dont see it.

  • Comment removed

  • BMW for life!

  • HOWWWW IS THIS CAAARR BORRRINGGGG??? idiot

  • how small is your dick, that you have to stand out of the crowd so bad, that a 335is looks boring to you...

  • Love your vids. I don't care how late they come, probably my favorite reviewers of cars.

  • i thought an m3 was 50 something grand, this things cost 50 something grant.... besides an m3 i wouldn't bother buying a 3series, they cost way to much and ur not getting much for ur money.

  • This is my Sec. Fav. car after my E46 M3

  • Chris Bangle was snoozing when he designed this car. So bland. Hurts my feelings. I cant wait for the new 3 series models aka the post-Chris Bangle era.

  • @brocky Chris Bangle didn't design it.

  • @brocky

Van Hooydonk is doing the vehicle design of BMW now. It's almost like Van Hooydonk is too scared to use his own designs. All he did was tone down the flair and eccentricity of bangles newer designs. It isn't bad, but it isn't a whole lot of good either.

  • Great job as always guys! I enjoy all of your videos even though Paul dissed my car in a review (2010 MS3). I look forward to future videos.

  • BMW's aren't supposed to stand out (except the 2-seaters). They're supposed to be understated. What's special about Bimmers is the way they drive, and that's exactly why I bought my 335i (with N54 and a tune)

  • Todd definitely said it best:

Although an automatic transmission shifts faster than any human could, and might just be "faster" altogether, the manual FEELS faster.

Well said! I agree all the way.

  • As for your poinst about the interior and styling, well...letls not forget that this car is almost 6 year old.

But still, why buy this a bit sharper 3-series for M3 money?

Oh, and the Audi S5 isn't very good stock, it feels too safe and understeery at its limit, but it can be easily chiptuned for more than 430 hp and the AWD system can be reprogrammed for more oversteer. You may not like it as it comes from factory, but give it some simple tunig and it's best the other two by far.

  • I really enjoy your videos please keep them coming!

  • The shots and videography are awesome.

  • you guys gotta get ur vids out sooner!!!.......theres plenty of production companies that can produce the same video in less time and for less money and have a video thats just as good if not better!......you guys need to learn some tricks of the trade!

  • @mintkendishin - We've said many times that we'd love to create more content but lack the budget and staff to do so. If you know of a company creating better videos than us faster and for less money we'd be open to hearing about them. Generally, the videos which are created faster have far fewer camera angles and editing required than you'll find in one of our productions. And the ones creating lots of car video (Edmunds, KBB, etc.) have staffs and budgets which dwarf us.

  • @mintkendishin it tough to make pro videos while doing it with a certain amount of resource, i couldnt do a video like this if i had 1 billion dollars, there talented we should give them credit, and i think quality is better than quantity

  • Everyone, please start getting ED Driver more views so that they can upload more frequently

  • @Boruc987 They would get more views if they had more videos!......The more content you have the more popular you get.......you must be new to youtube

  • @mintkendishin if you dont have the money to create more videos (which is their case) they cant upload more videos ..............you must be new to EveryDay Driver

  • @Boruc987 See thats the thing.......you dont need a huge budget to produce good vids.....with todays technology....and editing software....me and my vegasdrift friends make vids all the time......that look great...and it doesnt cost us any money

  • Damn, prices in US are so low...

  • "ED DRIVER"

I can't resist giggling every time I see that

  • this year is ugly styling... gimme a e36 M3 and I'll be good.

  • OMG finally, I have been checking my subscriptions everyday for this forever.

  • hrmmm the 335i is $120,000 in Australia and they complain about the American price?!

  • @bruzcuz1 holy shit. $120,000 WHYYYY

  • @bruzcuz1 that's because your dollar is worth roughly half of ours, whatever the actual exchange rate is.

  • @touge242 I'm not sure what decade you are living in, but at the moment it is around parity.

  • @bruzcuz1 in that case, you have my sympathies.. I naively thought it was all exchange rate

  • @bruzcuz1

Yea, but what's the average income in Australia? Probably more than here.

Money naturally becomes inflated and while things get more expensive, you also bring in more income over the years. Exchange rates also have a large significance.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 I understand why it would be more expensive - things such as more taxes, higher cost of living, importation costs, the fact that it is right hand drive etc.

I just think the reviewer shouldn't be that sensitive with the costs considering it is vastly more expensive in other countries.

  • @c0nv1ct1337 This is a minor point that's not related to the video or anything, but money does not naturally become inflated. We're just used to it doing that because national banks are constantly raising the money supply to drum up funds for their respective governments, creating a sort of "hidden tax" through inflation. In the ye olden days before national central banks, money value remained almost constant.

  • The only reason you would buy a BMW is for the name. Sure it fun and fast, but so are several cars half the price.

  • I love this show.

  • the sexual tension between these two guys is palpable!

  • do a Scion tc 2011!!

  • save the best for last?

  • took u long enough -___-

  • I totally agree with Paul about the price. It's a good car but it's not worth the sticker IMHO.

  • This is the BMW 3 series for the non posers. The BMW built for those who love to drive and appreciate a finely tuned machine. The chosen few buy this car for their own pleasure not to impress the nouveau riche.

  • I LOVE BMW

  • For 57k why not just get the M3, CTS Coupe V, and the S5?

  • good video. the idea of the comparison loses all purpose when there is such a lag between each video though. i completely forgot you even reviewed the cadillac until you mentioned it in the video.

  • 30k to 60k is not wide range in Europe, maybe in USA where cars are chip :)

  • It's too bad you guys have to wear those lame branded t-shirts.

  • I've finally found some Americans that can actually review cars and tell it like it is. And about the car, I completely agree.

  • 30000 miles = $20000 depreciation in all three.

  • No doubt you pay for that badge. Up until this summer I had never driven in a BMW, but always just loved what they were regardless. I drove in an e46 M3 and wasnt overly impressed. A car thats so good and fun should excite you a little bit. It was too dumbed down and quiet.

Great review as always guys! One of the best I think.

  • for 57 grand, why not spend a bit more to get the M3?

  • I've already long forgotten part 1.

  • @quatlen Me too.

  • Pay 40k for a 2012 boss 302!!! Best coupe ever!!!

  • Audi might make a new car by the time their review comes out! hahah i kid i kid. i love these vids. very quality driven

  • The reason for the torque is the sequential turbos. Anyways, this review was very good, probably the best I've seen from you guys. I would slightly disagree with the styling but I agree that it's overpriced and at this point buying a new one is basically just buying the badge.

  • 335is is what the M3 use to be. It's not spose to stand out but it will blow pretty much anything doors off in the real world.

  • Every Month Driver, jokes guys, doing a great job

  • half of the video went by before you even discussed the way the car drives.

  • hey you guys are getting better at this sort of thing.

  • The 3-series would be better if they offered all the wagons over here (M3 wagon!), and also the four-cylinder engines. A 335d with manual transmission would also be cool.

  • Yay welcome back!

  • This is MUCH better than the older reviews!

  • please don't make us wait for months until you upload
