  • I don't think it's possible for a woman to look better than Claudine Auger did in this movie. She was a goddess.

  • largo got bitched slapped....

  • happy birthday yesterday sir sean.looking good at 81.

  • 0:59 bad guy wants to serve bond some cold beer XD

  • we've still got one bomb aboard

  • I love those two-framed double punch sequences 1:46

  • Seeing Connery in those little swim trunks and that red rubber jacket thing is what made me know I am a gay man

*sigh* That is one sexy man

  • @krystlerita I'm completely straight, and the idea of sex with another man repulses me. BUT I would definitely suck Sean Connery's cock, no question about it!

  • @tcvicesquad thats disgusting i a man and sucking any ones cock is unthinkable i see sean connery and i want to be like him not ugh have sex with him thats rank!

  • Seriously, I still can't believe that people are siding with James Bond in this. All Largo wanted to do was to detonate a nuclear weapon in Miami and turn its population (and the snowbirds) into horrible radioactive monsters! How can anyone fault him for that, I've tried to do much the same. And if it wasn't for him, their boat would have run aground on that bluescreen! No one respects villains these days. Saddy-face!

  • so wait, he dies by a small spear in his back? if u think about it, that's not even enough to kill Stamper, or Jaws, or Oddjob. mind Largo's not even that strong so there u go. lol

  • @MattPicton96 In the book Bond and Largo have a fight underwater and Domino swims down and kills him there. I think it was a larger spear. Still i dont think McClory shold've stolen all the rights. He practically sent Fleming to his grave with the lawsuits! I am so glad he wasn't given a chance to make more versions of Thunderball after Never Say NEver Again.

  • Heehee, I would've taken Largo's eyepatch and put it on the other eye! To borrow a line from the WWE's John Cena, "You can't see me!" :) :p

  • One of my favorite Bond films ever, this fight was epic and brutal, Connery is the greatest Bond ever.

  • the guy killed at the end looks like harold wilson

  • Gravity-defying clothing at 0:28 -- Domino's torn shoulder strap manages to stay up and not expose her boob.

  • @scotpens I checked that several times and your'e absolutely right....now im gonna check it several more ; )

  • One helluva fight! Adolfo Celi as Emilio Largo is a formidable bad guy. One of the best of the Bond villains. A classic.

  • more like extreme-speed yatch

  • I love Thunderball and I love this fight, including the end where Domino spears Largo (shades of Tatiana shooting Klebb).

The only problem I have is the bad jump cut between Largo's first and second punches (when the other SPECTRE guy is holding Bond). It seems like they could have cut to an exterior shot of the yacht careening out of control between the punches to cover the jump.

  • Connery always looks as though he means it in a fight, not like he jokey Roger Moore ones.

  • the best fight in a bond film ever! I'm not kidding !!!

  • li have this on blue ray and the chair throw always pwns that bloke

  • Largo was number 2 on SPECTRE

  • Whoa! Love this fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Emillio Largo is one of my favourite Villains.

  • 1:10 connery's face is like "NYAAA" here.

  • disco volante in english means flying saucer

  • The thing that gets me is Connery and Celi are both wearing wetsuits. They both should have been absolutely drenched in sweat by the time the fight is over.

Also keeping in mind that both Bond and Largo have just climbed out of the water, so they both should be dripping wet anyway, yet they looked like they both toweled off and then changed into wetsuits that haven't been in the water.

  • Nice touch--this time, the girl saves Bond, not the other way around....

  • The girl also saved Bond in From Russia with love. Remember when Rosa Klebb was about to kill Bond with her venomous shoes, and Tatiana saves the day and shoots Rosa Klebb.

  • 0:50 Bond full on does a pimp slap on Largo LOL!

  • good scene, lmao at the speed of the boat from the inside:P

  • Hang on I missed something and I need clarification. When the fight begins it's Bond vs 4 guys: Largo, 2 crewmen and the ship's captain (the guy in white). At the end Largo gets shot with a harpoon, one of the crewman falls out of the ship and the last guy gets knocked out with a thrown chair. What happened to the captain?

  • Now that is a very good point. Perhaps he fell out as well?

  • Connery's swimsuit is horrible xP

  • keep pressing on:50 it's hilarious when u see Sean keep slapping Lago in the face

  • Ha Sean just throws the mask at the captain at :55

  • 1:33-1:35: What is Celi smiling so giddily about?

  • I love it how he bitchslaps Largo at :50

  • Get him! Get him!

Thunderball is the best bond film ever.

  • I think this Emilio Largo is way better than the other one in the movie Never say never Again (1983).

  • Yes! NSNA blows so much!

  • she doesn't die...she ends up with Bond at the end of the movie!

  • Eh? Then who gets covered in gold?

  • Jill Masterson in Goldfinger (1964), the Bond film before this one. The villain covers her entire body in gold paint and she dies of skin suffocation (this death has been debunked as myths and stuff for years...) anyway just search the death on Youtube

  • Yes and no. The explanation that's given is what's been debunked. In fact, what would have killed her is that as paint dries, it shrinks. Hence the paint would have constricted her body, preventing her from being able to breathe. The paint would have literally squeezed her to death.

  • @Kohntarkosz Paint can do that? Must be some pretty tough paint!

Of course, there's no such thing as "skin suffocation." Skin doesn't breathe. That's what you have lungs for.

  • If you've got paint covering your entire abdomen like was done in Goldfinger, and if it's applied thick enough, it can most definitely constrict your chest and prevent you from breathing.

  • @Kohntarkosz I'll take your word for it.

What they actually used on actress Shirley Eaton wasn't paint. It was a heavy skin lotion with faux-gold powder mixed into it. In some of the publicity photos, you can see the gold stuff getting all over everything her body touched, because it didn't dry.

BTW, when she was "gilded" and filmed lying face-down on the bed, she was nude except for a g-string and two paper cones over her boobs.

  • you do realise someone answered that two months ago?

  • That is one speedy boat, at least from the inside. I mean, from their perspective, they're going like 300 miles an hour.

  • Domino is the best

  • She's my favorite Bond girl too:) I envy that guy who gets to rescue her.

  • 'Thunderball' is one of my favorite Bonds, despite the over-emphasis on gadgets and the slow underwater stuff.

It also has some of the best looking women of the franchise; Domino, Fiona, Paula (also in FRWL), Pat Fearing, and the French agent in the pre-credits sequence.

  • I agree about the women in Thunderball, I've always thought they were the best looking in the franchise.......especially Fiona, my favourite women in the series.....

  • Largo picks up the captain's gun who he didn't manage to shoot Bond, and he gets defeated so easily!Another henchman got thrown out.

  • This is why Connery and Craig are the only true Bonds, that was a brutal fight, no puns or jokes or silly acting.

  • the fights in goldeneye are brutal

  • Every fight post DAF is BRUTAL.

  • 1:11 lol his face is like "NEEEEAAAAAAUUUUUGGGHHH"

  • Connery really kicked ass in this!! Not the trained, modern military close combat style Craig uses in the latest movies - but still effective!!^^

  • A proper Bond fight. No gadgets to save him.

  • The sound is reallly quiet.

  • largo got bitch slap

  • largo got a couple of digs in bond...

  • Largo is the only one to have defeated physically Bond twice in a row without 007 to beat him.

  • Bitch slapped Largo!

  • This fight looks so poor and dated, but my god is it exciting.

  • You're poor and dated.

  • my apologies.

  • I love this film so much, it was the first bond film i ever saw back in 2001, i remember laughing at the fight because it's so ermmm cheese :) lol, haha It's cool though

  • he was fighting five people, and pretty much beat them all.

  • I remember having a lot of trouble taking this scene seriously because Sean Connery wasn't wearing pants. No other Bond could get away with that.

  • What a babe!! All women should look like her... The speed scenes through the windshield are hilarious!!!

  • This is a marvelous Bond end...one of the best end-scenes!!!! My oppinion!

P.S: Claudine Auger was real hot babe in the 60`s and 70`s!!! ;)

  • lol how fast is that boat? 200 mph?

  • 200 penises... up your ass!!

  • 200? I thought it was over nine thousand!

  • The real hydrofoil boat used in the movie, the "Flying Fish," was a Supramar PT-20 with a cruising speed of 35 knots (about 40 mph). Top speed was probably a few knots higher. The camera was undercranked to make the boat appear to be going faster that it actually was.

  • "I'm glad I killed him."

    "You're glad?"

    Hilarious! XD

  • I always loved that line too. Connery delivered it flawlessly.

  • hardest bond fight in cramped quarters

  • what happened to the polish guy?

  • He got thrown out of the boat - but not before Bond handed him a life jacket.

  • The sped-up boat footage in this scene always made me laugh.

  • Remember: the year is 1965!

  • lol yeha man made me laugh as well. but they still do speed up scenes these days that the thing

  • Agree whit some ppl.

And great tune for this battle.

  • i started to like bond at around 5 or 6, i never liked the scare crow that had it's head in the bush on live and let die though lol, i always hid behind the sofa when the live and let die song came on and the girl getting shot lol

  • pity you didnt include the bit where the boat explodes

  • Man I love this fight, Sean Connory and Daniel Craig are the Bond's u don't mess with.

  • look at domino, she can barely stand up. largo owned that bitch.

  • this is the reason why i got into james bond at the tender age of 6.

  • Say, were u only 6 ?

My first 007 was T'ball at 6 or 7 too but I was way too young and scared - particularly freaked out by woman getting killed by Bond at dance scene

  • well, i borrowed it on video when i was 6 - 1998

  • That was good, especially when he threw the chair.

    I like Sean Connery's Bond hand-to-hand fights.

  • i wanna knw what this tune is called. love it so much

  • It's known as the 007 Theme. It's James Bond's secondary theme song, being that he's cool enought to rate two.

  • This is the best Bond fight by far. The camera movement is awesome.

  • the best bond fight tune. lolol. i hope they bring that bk since they starting bond all over again in the the daniel craig movies

  • Gotta love Adolfo Celi.

  • I love him too.

  • He was great in the forgotten horror movie "Murders in the rue morgue" where he played inspector Vidoque.

  • Thanks for letting me know that. I have never seen it.

  • this and 007 vs renard are the best

  • I love this one too.

  • my favorite bond fight!
