I was sooooo good at this game when i was only 4 years old. i didnt even know what the hell the words were even saying, because i was barely learning how to read. the last time i played this game was when i was 9 and i sucked. Guess that for not playing that game after 5 years, you cant handle the plane. Im so getting that game on the wii. the games awesome.

Well of course Shin's a dude. This game is actually based off the Anime, Area 88 and if you go watch it, it will be blatantly obvious.

Of course i realize that NOW, but I was 6 when my brother got this, knew nothing of the anime's existence, and always thought Shin was a girl.

Well its not a big deal. I have both the original Anime and the recent Remake series. I think the remake is a lot better as the story is more coherent, the animation is updated and it doesn't really have a crappy ending like the original OVA

OVA = Original Video Animation or somesuch.. it used to be OAV but the Anime industry changed it because people were confusing it with AV (for adult video) or something like that..

I'd the original OVA is worth checking out if you are interested in the source material, but the newer remake Anime Series is just as easy to follow without watching the original, as everything is explained (and sometimes in better detail)

I think there are some subtitled videos for it on Youtube even. But the last time I looked was a couple years back, maybe some english episodes floating around now. The music and graphics are really good on the newer stuff obviously. Lots of cool planes that are for the most part accurately represented
