@TheJwwinter i was still a newbie when i did this vid but for lower tunings i now use 13s, slinkys, the 7 string pack and throw out the high e. this may involve notching out ur nut a bit and tweaking the truss rod but its worth it

well you have me wanting a viper dude! i am thinking about selling my ESP EX-400 with hard case to get one, or another EC-500. i need a guitar i can have set up with .013's and keep in A# tuning.

Yeah, the Viper is a SWEET, SWEET guitar. I can't put it down!! That's the reason I got it--to keep it set up with 13's and tuned waaay down. My guitar tech is a God for doing it for me. Had to notch out the nut a lil but its awesome. Well worth it. Sell the EX-400 b4 the EC-500. The 500 is an awesome guitar. Let me know what you decide, dude.

no. i would NEVER sell my EC-500. i just want to get ANOTHER EC-500! or a viper! i think John Lecompt used the baritone model if i remember correctly. but those have a longer neck.
