I've personally ridden trails and raced kn both a four stroke and a 2 stroke and as far as I'm concerned there both equal now days, when four strokes first came out then yeh 2 strokes fuckin killed but now they have em just as fast and snappy

the yfz 450r is faster than the trx 450r the 06-09 trx 450r models with high compression pistions put out 36 hp on the wheels and top out at 72.9 the yfz 450r puts out almost 43 hp on the wheels and tops out at 75 mph-76 mh.the older 06-09 yfz's that are carbed put out 39 hp and top out at 74 mph. the yfz 450r is also lighter than the trx 450 and has efi and has 5 valves and has dohc the trx 450r is the slowest 450 on the market then next would be the kfx 450r

Yfz 450 all the way i have an 04 with an 06 engine but i blew up the stock one and now i have the 06 engine i installed a 508 upgrade and just for fun i took my stock exhaust pipe and cut in half and and put the front peice back on to make a short pipe

@250rsrcool are you kidding? the yfz450 is a 449cc engine with an 11.4:1 compression ratio, the trx450r is a true 450cc engine with a 12.0:1 compression ratio.
the yfz450 is a slower machine by comparison stock. if you watch the race the trx450r passes the yfz450 and pulls away until a rider error in a right hand turn allows the yfz450 to pass again.
@wolfewispr um u need to get your facts right. a trx 450r doesnt come like that stock. it has a 10.0.0 compresion and has same bore size as the yami. The yami has more compresion and hp stock to the honda and i actualy know wat im fucking talking about.

@gavinabcdefghi no the yfz is not faster, the trx450 rider is letting off in the corners. if you watch many times the trx450r catches the yfz450 in the straights but the yfz450 rider is better at cornering.

im gonna buy a quad but im still undecided... ive ridden a yfz 450 and a trx 400... the 450 was a lot faster but the trx 400 felt smoother... how much faster is the trx 450 than the trx 400... which was is best?
