Cornette doesnt know what the hell he's talking about. No way is that all of Nash's moves. He would step over the top rope when entering the ring. That counts doesnt it ?
@tarison13 Wrong! All those moves he was doing regularly as of 96 in the WWF. He picked up some more moves in WCW (chokeslam, frame their heads with his hands before hitting the elbow in the corner, crotch chop, kliq hand sign, etc), but the above list were his regular moves in the WWF. I havent even checked these but they should have most if not all of them:
Cornette will never get over the fact that the nWo was more popular, marketable, and profitable than anything from the NWA, even Sting. He's a bitter old fool.
@WFBlackMaiden Terry Bollea, Kevin Nash, and Scott Hall were ideas stolen from Japan? Everything is influenced by everything. Those performers made the angle work.
It was more over than the Four Horsemen could ever dream of being, and it KILLS Cornette inside. Makes sense that he despises the nWo, Paul Heyman and Shawn Michaels: three of the most important elements in ushering in the most profitable period in wrestling history, all because he wanted to live in the past. Pathetic.
@andross637 Or, you know, he's mad at the fact that those four men are commonly known as the biggest pricks and douche bags of 90's Wrestling. Just because he's mad, doesn't mean he isn't right.
Listen to what he said. DIESEL used only six moves. As Kevin Nash he was involved in the more intense style of wrestling that existed from roughly 97 onwards so he had to diversify. All these people counting off other NASH moves are wrong
Nash once aswered to Cornette once and he said: Cornette ist just yealous because he never got a kiss from me. Nash, cool as always. He couldn't care less, what a fat foureye says.
Diesel basic signatures 1 forearm smash (gets up and down from the mat 3x -selling) 2 back elbow followed by snake eyes 3 running rope attack choke 4 sidewalk slam 5 big boot 6 hair flip while performing jackknife Razor signature 1 slap (3x followed by 360spin/turn for big slap opponent goes down) 2 side back suplex from 2nd or 3rd rope 3 fall away slam (sometimes off the 2nd rope) 4 one hand choke slam *using momentum of opponent off the ropes (sometimes) 5 The Razor's Edge

Kevin Nash's moves: Punch, ellbow, Sidewalkslam, knee, Chokeslam , Snake eyes, Powerbomb, pick up choke, clothesline, Big Boot... so shut up Cornette you fat out of shape gaylord.
1)Kneelifts 2)Forearms 3)Elbows/knees in the corner 4)Whip into opposite corner with follow up clothesline 5)Footchoke in corner 6)Snake eyes 7)Sidewalk slam 8)Hang their head across the second rope then run the ring to then jump on the back of their neck to strangle them 9)Short-arm clothesline 10)Big boot 11)Jacknife. Thats 11 moves as of 1996 not including hair flips. Then you got 12)Hair flips 13)One arm raise/pose 14)Step over top rope 15)Spit in glove & rub hands, etc. Diesel had loads!
Kevin Nash picked up more most along the way, very true, but Jim is saying that in 1996 Kevin Nash (aka Diesel) was pretty limited in his offensive range. You see one of those squash matches he'd do from back in those days and what Cornette is saying is basically on point.
Part of the reason the then WWF did the angle was for legal reasons. Hall/Nash obviously acted nearly the same and the WWF could say they used the names however their intellectual property was damaged by conumer confusion. It actually worked and part of the agreement was right of first refusal for any WCW purchase, as well as some money if I recall. This eventually led to Vince purchasing all of WCW for I think about 3 million dollars.
@Quentin242451 Part of the lawsuit of the WWF vs WCW was for not naming Nash/Hall initially, they acted almost the same in WCW as their WWF characters, thus it caused confusion to some people as they believed it was a real WWF attack on WCW. The fake Diesel/Razor characters were part of the legal process to prove the WWF intellectual properties were damaged by Nash/Hall acting like their WWF characters of Diesel/Razor. It was not part of the DVD, but paid off 5 years later for the WWF.
@RemyX266 OK I hear ya. So they got first bid for WCW's purchase? If they did then why did Bischoff and Fuscient Media attempt to buy the company on its death bed? Wouldn't have Bischoff already have known the stipulations of the lawsuit?
@Quentin242451 Bischoff and Fuscient Media were going to purchase WCW for a lot more then the near 3 million the WWF bought it for, I think closer to 50 million, if not more. However once the Time Warner execs said that WCW wouldn't air on any of their channels Fuscient Media pulled out of the deal, as without a way to show the product it was not valuable to them, where as the WWF had ways to use the name and video library, and always had the right of first refusual for any purchase offer.
@Quentin242451 That goes with Vince and the WWF and their right of first refusal as part of the Nash/Hall lawsuit settlement. If Time Warner agreed to sell WCW The WWF had the right to match any offer that was made, hypathetically whatever the deal was, for arguments sake if it was 50 million, that was too much, and thus the WWF passed on the deal, but when there was no other buyers, the WWF got it cheap.
1)Kneelifts 2)Forearm smash 3)Elbows/knees in the corner 4)Whip into the opposite corner with follow up clothesline 5)Footchoke in the corner 6)Snake eyes 7)Sidwalk slam 8)Hang their head across the second rope and run the ropes to then jump on the back of their neck to strangle them 9) Short-arm clothesline 10) Big boot 11) Jacknife Thats 11 moves as of 1996 not including hair flips lol. 11 moves is a lot, then you got 12)Hair flips 13)Arm raise to signal the jacknife etc! Diesel had plenty!
Knees to the Midsection, Forearm Smash, Back Elbows, Foot choke, big boot, sidewalk slam, Snake Eyes, Jackknife, Spinning Crucifix Toss (Emerald City Twister as Oz)...OH and Hairflip, the most dangerous of all
I can think of a few other Kevin Nash moves. 1.) Diving shoulder tackle, which he used to defeat Mabel, 2.) choking someone on the turnbuckle with his foot, 3.) choke slam, 4.) submission backbreaker with his knee, and 5.) slingshot drive. Some of those are moves he does rarely, or once, and he may have not done all of them while he was Diesel. But they're still wrestling moves.
Alright, so Razor had the Razor's Edge, the overhead fallaway slam/blockbuster suplex, the belly to back superplex, the bulldog (sometimes off 2nd turnbuckle)...I don't think he was doing a chokeslam until his Outsider days...dang, what else? Oh, yeah, the "it's over/incomplete pass" thing with the arms.
@pronkb000 back body drop, sidewalk slam, elbow drops are the first things that come to my mind. And yes he did chokeslams as Razor Ramon too. Also chokebombs and the abdominal stretch (might be wrong on that one though, I only remember him doing it in WCW).
@kingquadroon Oh, I know. It's just that I think it truly is seven. I'm racking my memory and can't think of a single thing he did different unless his opponent was named Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels.
@bobsakamano123 Knees to the midsection, Forearm smash, Back elbows in the corner, The hair flip (lol), Foot choke in the corner, Big Boot, Sidewalk Slam, Snake Eyes, Jacknife Powerbomb...Damn, got to 9. and thats with a bullshit move lol
