@Alamodust ... not true..."Mid 1958 Les Paul SG TV model specs: body style change to symmetrical rounded double cutaways, thick slab mahogany body (referred to as the "SG/Les Paul" body style), "TV" beige finish. The peghead still says "Les Paul TV", but often this body style is referred to as the "Les Paul SG TV" body style. ..etc"
I've owned a few.. i have one of the first made and it is a 1958
@jvolume ...You're right, it can't be a '57 and I blush in shame.
you're a lucky feller for having one of the first DC LP TV. I see you're sporting one in your Johnny Thunders - Pirate Love cover - very authentic, well done mate.
@pat976 I have a bootleg recording of the Voodoo Lounge sessions in Ireland and you can hear D'Beauport speak briefly on it . He doesn't have a French accent. I believe he's Canadian but I could be wrong.
@IdolHans 1st off, thanks for being courteous and intelligent, not like 99% of youtubers ! lol ! What you say is interesting. But I happen to own the bootleg of the Stones gig in Paris in 1998 I went to, and @ the beggining of his solo spot, Keith says :"Here's Pierre, he's French you know ?" Mystery solved ! Just came back to me when I read your comment n I had to go listen to it again. I can send you a copy if you'd like ,if you friend me and give me your email. :D

gibson didn't make a double cutaway les paul tv until 1958 so he's wrong about it being a 57.... now can i have his job?

@jvolume
I'm afraid you're wrong there. Gibson introduced the double cutaways in 1955.

Johnny Starbuck or is it Pierre D'Beauport?
IdolHans 1 year ago
@IdolHans Pierre is French, so my guess would be that we would hear his accent a little, so I'll got for the other one ...
