  • Might as well take a cat nap while sittin in that Dallas traffic (which I too am familiar with). Then you won't see those hurling HOV drivers. ;)

  • how fast do you go in the left lane.....at or under the limit?

  • When possible the limit which is 65mph to 70mph depending on which highway I am on. But usually during traffic, I don't get much above 40...and that is when I'm actually moving!

  • @TheEdge012 when I get on I20 and do the limit, everyone passes me...slow poke

  • As a fellow Dallasite I often feel your pain. I think the thought going through there head is usually this. "The time saved out weights the risk, and even If I do get the ticket, I can afford it. That said I suppose those folks can do what they want. That said it looks like the NTTA is doing something to accomidate those drivers. Most of the new road projects like the 635 construction are incorporating Toll HOV lanes so that you can pay to be in the HOV lanes.

  • If payment were an option for single occupants, I don't think I would have a problem with this abuse. They are paying for the right. But so far, there isn't an option for that so the abuse bugs me.

  • I get similarly upset when people use the shoulder as their own lane during a traffic jam. I have been known to purposely block the shoulder, causing a back up of three or four cars trying to use the shoulder as another lane. I have been honked at, cussed at, and given every finger. I don't do that anymore, but it stills raises my ire when I am stuck in traffic and some moron scoots right through in their own lane.
