So - you can't really sing and you're a mandolin novice, but you've learned a few chords; just about enough to get most people a slot at an open mic night. However, you're a well-known comedy actor, and you use that to surround yourself with some world-class folk musicians: Hey Presto! - you're now a star of the folk music scene. Alright for some, innit?
I saw them last night (10/12/10) at NEC in Birmingham and realised about half way through their last song that I had been staring, mouth open in amazement all the way through. Adrian was with two different people than in this video but both were amazing. Beautiful sound, great harmonies and some unbelievable fiddle playing. Need a banjo player Ade?? lol.
i just saw them last night they had a few hecklers and me and my m8 weren't sure where to get autographs so waited out back when he walked past we stood there and tried getting an autograph he walked by and more or less ignored us
Saw them in Wrexham 23 July, simply awesome night, eclectic mix of old favourites and traditional instruments, they don`t do simple covers, they re-mix songs in a way that will leave you gasping in awe. Ade Edmondson`s persona and witty banter was worth the money alone. Go and see them live if you get the chance, nothing I`ve witnessed before even comes close.
We saw these guys at The Landmark in Ilfracombe the other night as a spur of the moment thing whilst on holiday and they were fantastic......definately go and see them if you can. Well worth it.
Saw them last week at the Acoustic Festival of Britain and they were fantastic. Really enjoyed the songs, they are all brilliant and take me back, love the twist with the folk sound. Bought the CD and can't play it enough. Just one thing, the fiddler was male.. . but what an amazing player.
Was at the Phoenix in Exeter Last night, bloody awesome all the songs sounded better than the originals. Plus having the Bible re written made the light shine. All praise God of ours Ade. Ella keep it up girl your dad must be proud of you.
I didn't know I could possibly love Adrian Edmondson any more but there you go. This is brilliant!!!!! Sucks I'll probably never get to see them live, unless they make over to Chicago. I was born in the wrong damn country.
I adore this music, they do covers, but they do them very originally, I like that!
I've been inspired to ask Santa for a Ukelele this Xmas.... dunno how to play one yet, but I am all inspired to attempt a Shepherds song! I'd love to play Anarchy on it, thats my fav tune of all time, I can Rock it on guitar hero..... but thats not the same as a guitar lol I cant do it on my guitar, hope ukes are easier... Less strings, its gotta be easier!!!
Yeehaw! This is very nice! :D I bloody love Ade Edmondson, when he's acting but especially when he's singing! His jazzy version of Anarchy in the UK is brilliant...but I also like this folky style! Ade, you rock! ^_^
Wow- great video! I'm really looking forward to more. I would LOVE to hear London Calling... Can't wait for the CD in the coming months! Keep having fun, and everyone else will too. :)
Saw these guys live a few years back and i have to say that it was the *BEST* gig ever... Loved it, was amazing!

It's brilliant! But why does Ade sing "robbing people with a zip gun" instead of "six-gun"?
