  • Saw these guys live a few years back and i have to say that it was the *BEST* gig ever... Loved it, was amazing!

  • It's brilliant! But why does Ade sing "robbing people with a zip gun" instead of "six-gun"?

  • i got tickets to go see them on tour

  • Genious idea. Fuse Punk with folk. Well done.

  • Ade Edmondson is the coolest bloke I know. He entertains for fun, not for reputation.

  • So - you can't really sing and you're a mandolin novice, but you've learned a few chords; just about enough to get most people a slot at an open mic night. However, you're a well-known comedy actor, and you use that to surround yourself with some world-class folk musicians: Hey Presto! - you're now a star of the folk music scene. Alright for some, innit?

  • @WatTyler13 from the sounds of it, you don't need to be too advanced do make this sound amazing!

  • really want to see these guys playing at the cathedral quarter festival

  • Video in the video response area are preferred by The Bad Shepherds themselves!

  • I saw them last night (10/12/10) at NEC in Birmingham and realised about half way through their last song that I had been staring, mouth open in amazement all the way through. Adrian was with two different people than in this video but both were amazing. Beautiful sound, great harmonies and some unbelievable fiddle playing. Need a banjo player Ade?? lol.

  • they were at Rochester castle a few weeks back as well as mcfly (boo) and a rolling stones cover band lol

  • Caaaaambriiiidge!! :)

  • I saw them!

  • Saw them in Wrexham 23 July, simply awesome night, eclectic mix of old favourites and traditional instruments, they don`t do simple covers, they re-mix songs in a way that will leave you gasping in awe. Ade Edmondson`s persona and witty banter was worth the money alone. Go and see them live if you get the chance, nothing I`ve witnessed before even comes close.

  • We saw these guys at The Landmark in Ilfracombe the other night as a spur of the moment thing whilst on holiday and they were fantastic......definately go and see them if you can. Well worth it.

  • They need to come to Newcastle!!!

  • They are playing at Hachfest on 31st July 2009 - come along and have some fun. Tickets can be bought on the gate £10 per adult.

  • Saw them last week at the Acoustic Festival of Britain and they were fantastic. Really enjoyed the songs, they are all brilliant and take me back, love the twist with the folk sound. Bought the CD and can't play it enough. Just one thing, the fiddler was male.. . but what an amazing player.

  • Was at the Phoenix in Exeter Last night, bloody awesome all the songs sounded better than the originals. Plus having the Bible re written made the light shine. All praise God of ours Ade. Ella keep it up girl your dad must be proud of you.

  • One of my favourite quotes of the night was when Ade was telling everyone he was "available" as a God and he said, "Bonus point: You know I exist!"

  • Went to the gig in Exeter yesterday.

    Shit was SO cash.

  • Went to the gig in Exeter yesterday. Fab except for stupids in the audience and the guy mixing.

  • What does that even mean? Dick.

  • It means it was good. It's also a meme.

    Lrn2Internet.

  • I didnt know that, you see i have a life lol

  • Funny how people like you always seem to try to validate their lack of knowledge with "lawl u has no lyfe".

  • Hear that a lot do you? Hmm, perhaps you should listen.

  • I say again, "lack of knowledge."

    Also, lack of decent comebacks.

  • WOAH STOP FIGHTING!!!

  • I'm going Solfest! These guys sound amazing. I love Ade.

  • Wow! Love this :D I've always loved folk and punky stuff!

Buying random instruments is always a good thing.

Sounds great - the singing's really nice. This is going to be going round and round in my head...

  • LOL! This is unreal! I'll have to see if I can buy the CD online.

  • It's easy to hear that Ade is a singer on his comedy shows like Bottom and The Young Ones when he's screamin

  • I didn't know I could possibly love Adrian Edmondson any more but there you go. This is brilliant!!!!! Sucks I'll probably never get to see them live, unless they make over to Chicago. I was born in the wrong damn country.

  • I hear ya there hehe

  • I know how you feel. If they come to Canada, I'll knit a hat and eat it.

  • Saw them last night in Mansfield and it was a reeeeeeeeeeeeeet giggle. Best fun I've had with me trousers on in ages.

  • Anyone interested should read Ade's blog on their website :D

  • ADE has a web page?/ and i take back what i said about ades singing just cos i heard 1 ba songs all the rest heard were awesome

  • Maart lives in Harlech so i guess ade was visiting harlech when the video was shot

  • gonna see these on Saturday...can anyone explain why Harlech castle is in the background of this vt clip?

  • I adore this music, they do covers, but they do them very originally, I like that!

I've been inspired to ask Santa for a Ukelele this Xmas.... dunno how to play one yet, but I am all inspired to attempt a Shepherds song! I'd love to play Anarchy on it, thats my fav tune of all time, I can Rock it on guitar hero..... but thats not the same as a guitar lol I cant do it on my guitar, hope ukes are easier... Less strings, its gotta be easier!!!

  • Ade plays a mandolin in the Bad Shepherds, nicer sound than a ukelele

  • Thank you for a terrific gig at Telfords Warehouse! You guys rocked the place!

  • You are too kind. It was a great gig.

  • Please, please release a cd!! Your music is brilliant.

  • if the rest of the songs are this good were in for a treat thanks bad shepherds
