I think that if u have ur concerns about the school then u should check it out for urself instead of looking up videos on u tube to determine what school u go to. Drexel maybe center city but it is 85 in the US as of 2009 rankings, which isn't that bad. I had my negative ideas of Philly & Drexel before i was accepted into a program and after visiting the school and the area those concerns were completely gone. At Drexel u not only get a great education but also learn about different cultures.

I think there are downsides to it if you don't like the city, but if you are a city person looking for practical experience and a great education, I think drexel is perfect!

Aren't you IN Philadelphia? I passed through Philly once. RUDEST PEOPLE IN AMERICA. I also felt like I would soon be the victim of a crime. For me that would be reason enough to pass on Drexel.

Yeah it's in the middle of the city. I wonder why they were so rude... Was it just a few people at once? cause like everywhere, rude people exist in philly. Not gonna lie, west philly isn't the greatest area in the world but as long as you stay on campus and are safe and smart (dont walk alone at night off campus) then crime really isn't a problem at all. I dont personally know anyone who has been mugged or had their car broken into here or anything.

It was basically everyone I met. Like Philly was in some sort of contest to be "Ruder than New York City".

How are the profs there? Do they give a damn about their students, or are they a@@holes that just don't give a damn, like at most colleges?

You grow to tolerate the rude people, eventually. It's just because it's a big city and everyone's in a rush. We also have a really high murder rate, so people won't trust each other as much as they would outside the city.

The professors at Drexel, in my opinion, are some of the most interesting professors out there. Some are a little extreme for my tastes, but they'll try to spark up an interesting conversation whenever they can. Especially in the Law classes I have sat in on.

It has a "really high" murder rate??? How culturally diverse is the area and campus 'cause I'm an international student? I know stereotypes are most of the time innocuous but since the area has a high murder rate, supposedly, geez, I'm scared to go now. Please respond. Thanks man!
