  • what brand piano is this?

there seems to be drums or something playing with it to??

  • I think its a Steinway, and there were no drums.

  • Nice old player. Thanks for the posting. Keep the music rolling.

  • A Splendid BEAST of a huge old player piano. I believe the song is 'Send Me Away With a Smile' - a popular WWI song.

  • Your uncle has good taste in music.

  • I like this arrangement too. Harold Scott and Jeff Watters were both pseudonyms used by various arrangers at the QRS music roll company for many years. So, this roll could actually have been arranged by someone like Max Kortlander, Victor Arden, or J. Lawrence Cook (who were real people who also made rolls under other pseudonyms and their real names). To me, this one sounds like the work of Max Kortlander.

  • Now that's some bouncy music there. What is it?

  • Unfortunately I am not exactly sure. If you listen closely at the very beginning my uncle my say what it is.

  • Damn it, didn't catch it. It's a cool tune, though. I love old pianos.

  • I, too, do not recognize it; though I've heard (and recognize) a lot of tunes from the 'teens and '20's, I don't think I've heard this one before. If I find out what it is, I'll let you know!

  • how many piano rolls do you have?...it looks like you have many of them.....

  • This is my Uncle's. He has 100's and possibly thousnads of rolls.

  • Great tune!
