also, I see your upset, I would like to share this with you,,, you see I was 300lbs, but I'm at 229 now, I have pcos, MY SOUL PURPOSE IS TO HAVE A CHILD, I am 40 years old now, but I'm still trying, I would be fat again in a heartbeat just to have my dreams come true, you ARE TRULY BLESSED.
1st off congratulations! It sounds like your describing me right now, i don't know if I;m pregnant, but I'm late, cramping and have a rash, though i think its poison Ivy, not sure, but wouldn't it be a blessing, I'm 40, no kids, I;m also 9 months post op. Well take care of yourself, and be happy:)
Honey I'm sooooo here for you, I think after going through what we all have gone through with weight.... it's understandable that you would go there with it... BUT.... Know it will be ok, I know when I found out I was pregnant, I stared at the Preggo stick FOR HOURS!!!!! lol... That baby is VERY LUCKY to have you for a mom...
I DONT UNDERSTAND THE SHOCK PART HUNNY..... BUT CONGRATS.... A BABY IS A BLESSING... YOU WILL LOSE THE WEIGHT AND YOU CCAN WORKOUT DURING THE PREGNANCY..... THIS IS A HAPPY TIME
congratulations hun I am so excited for you. Don't worry everything will turn out fine as long as you watch your food intake and what you eat you will only gain the normal amount of weight gain while you are pregnant which is 25-30 pounds. Which is mostly babe and water weight. You'll be fine take care girl...
my friend is pregnant right now and when she got preg she was 10months post op and she gained 3lbs while being pregnant and she had a healthy baby, the dr said she probably lost weight in other places than her belly took it if that makes sense to u lol. and she was in the danger zone, so im sure u will do great cus ur in a safe zone. goodluck, so happy for u
cont....You will be more aware of what goes in your mouth and you will be thinking about your nutrients, and so if you gain "BABY" weight of 20-25, so be it, you wont have to loose like before, and you still have your tool to help you. Worry about today, not tomorrow...
dont sweat the small stuff, eat normal, drink protein shakes between meals for healthy protein and extra calories. you know what to do. I havent gone through this, but I can understand and empathise with you. You wont get fat you will get a baby bump, this is cuter than being fat. At least this time around you will be more shapely of a mom than before ( no one ever knew i was pregnant because i was so heavy)
CONGRATULATIONS! I carried my pee stick in my purse for a couple weeks so I could look at it...I was in shock! I just had a baby boy 3 1/2 months ago and I had my lapband 4/6/09. I got pregnant with a surprise baby only 4 months post-op! I gained 30 lbs during my pregnancy and have 17 left to lose to be back to my pre-pregnancy weight. You're gonna do great! Please message me if you have any questions, I know lapband and RNY are different, but they're both WLS and some things are very similar.
I wish you all the very best. I hope you find some wonderful people to talk to - who already have a lot of experience with this, and they can be of some help and comfort to you. I've already watched your other videos - and now it seems like it's settled in some more. I'm excited for you, I think this is going to be a wonderful experience. Take care.. and I look forward to watching your v-logs during the process. -Kristen
Awww a new lil one in our community, congrats!!! You will be fine and you have us! Walking hormone lol The doctors/nutritionist will take great care of you and the baby. You spaz out and I'll be excited for you ok? lol
This is not the end of you weight loss journey this is just a bump (literally a belly bump haha) in the road for 9 months and then you can get right back on track with your weight loss. Just eat healthy and continue to exercise. You CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!
I totally understand your worry, Just remember that pregnancy doesnt always equal huge weight gain. I only gained 12 pounds through my entire pregnancy. Because I was pregnant it made me be more wise about what i was eating cause i was feeding a baby!!! Love ya girl and CONGRATS

Since you dont absorb the birth control pills, I wonder if the NuvaRing works??? Anyone have any info on that?

@TheSlimJen Yes, the nuvaring is still effective after gastric bypass.
