Zack Snyder's Watchmen for me although somewhat visually interesting and amusing will never come close to Moore and Gibbons graphic novel,
As to From Hell,
the From Hell film had an
Inspector Abberline who was too young and an opium addict neither of which have any basis in reality, The prostitutes in Moore and Campbell's story weren't Hollywood glamour girls as in the film,
They were whores who were at the end of their rope. Moore's work and film are incompatable for the most part.
I hate that film with a passion,
Why does hollywood always try to fuck up Alan Moores work? LOEG, From Hell, Constantine, V For Vendetta,
and next they're going to try and film Watchmen LOL,
Somethings are just better as comic books.
