rupeni post 2003 was still untoucheable. Pity he didnt play test rugby but he burnt everyone in french and european club rugby plus the allblacks entire backline. Even this year, 10+kg overweight, and injured, he still tore up solid defences. In anycase, rupeni is 5 years younger than shane with lota rugby left in him nevermind that he consistantly was the best the past 7 years!

mate, I do not know where you have been, but, most of us saw Caucau tear more or less every backline in the 2003. He was up against the best in Sanzar (Super 12) and made them all look like silly. did you just compare Shane Williams to Ropini Caucau? there is no doubt in my mind Shane is a class winger, but, Caucau at his best is in a league of his own. I've only seen 2 wingers that could single handedly carry a team, Lomu & Caucau.

Habana is average. For my money I would have Rokocoko, Howlett, Gear or Sivivatu before Habana any day. I haven't watched Rupeni since he played for the Blues and he was amazing on attack then. I would still have Rokocoko on for the Blues over him for his overall game based on that form though.

I agree that Rupeni is a better runner, but Habana has more raw pace on him and he does have a flair to his running, he doesnt just run straight, he only does that when he can burst through the gap and score, but i do value Rupeni as a better runner.
