You should have shown a comparison of how your supposed to do it and the trash can shortcut to see how much faster the trash can shortcut is. :)

it's not patched on xbox 360, you just have to time the jump as the rat approaches the trashcan

@TheGrawp Has anyone else on xbox been able to get this to work recently? I'm pretty sure DICE has not released any patches since the game came out in 2008, but I don't have an xbox to test this on. So yeah, someone should reply to this if they can do it

@ovendonkey186 dont worry. i was just angry that i couldnt do it and jumped to conclusions. its still possible, and i just managed to do the speedrun in 10 minutes 50 :) (rubbish i know but a personal best and i got the achievement). thanks alot for the help, your speedruns are amazing! soo happy :P

@ovendonkey186 Thanks to you my ME mentor, i use this shortcut in Jacknife everytime i do the level, and yea, i play on teh Xbox, so it must still work, you have to jump a bit sooner if you want to clear the fence, otherwise you will hit a barrier of sorts....

another shortcut  is to wallclimb the left wall then turn around and jump over the fence. That is much easier

GOSH!! Like ToxicFlamesGameplay, I tried it about a 100 times your way and it didn't even work once. Then, I tried djxfire's trick and it worked out perfectly. Just jump on the trash can, jump again to get into a wall ride, shortly before the fence press the turn-around-button, jump again and get your feet up..tadaa..

worked like every second time i tried it.

This is easy, you just need to jump coil st the LAST second

I can do it on my xbox....But as a note: You actually DON'T need to be running at the can. You can make it over the fence by starting from a dead stop on top of the can.

It is EXTREMELY frustrating and the angle that you jump at the wall needs to be PRECISE.

Believe me when I say it can be done...but it's ridiculously hard at first. Once you figure out were to start of the can and what angle to jump on the wall at it becomes easy.

Its an amazing shortcut when doing the speedrun. Problem is, if you dont make it the first or second time, its better to just start the run again until you hit it first time.

The idea is to jump and land on the trashcan and then jump off of it onto the wall to wallrun and jump over the fence.... you can do it!

Actually my lil sister found another easier way that takes a few more seconds but is still as fast...I wish I knew how to record it...Mostly you can jump around it by using the wall and then turning around towards it.... kinda hard to explain... :/

Yes except turn with all your might towards the fence. My sister crouches to get over it with minimal injuries. By I found out another way to get over it but it still takes time to get the hang of it.

Slow mo it just as you are about to land on the bucket, then turn and look about 45 degrees between straight forward and straight at the wall, or perhaps even a tiny bit further at the wall. Then wallrun until you are at your max height on the wall, jump and coil and you will get over! :D It takes a while, but its doable, just practise, took me a good hour of practise to get it right, i used to use the wall on the other side and do a wallclimb-turn-jump instead. Works less often but easier totry

If you have trouble doing this, there is an alternative way (slightly slower). Run up to the fence and on either side of it do: Wallclimb, turn 180, jump + coil (while manually turning over the fence).

Greyztar, I just couldn't get prilt's trash can jumping method down but I was able to get over using the method you mentioned - and consistently too! Nice one.

if you cant do it, try to use reaction time right after the jump from the garbage can, it really helped me a lot

I couldn't get my head around this for ages but I can do this most times now. For the benefit of of others: the trick for me was once you've successfully jumped off the trash can and are in the wall-run look left and away from the wall and coil, you seem to get more height than if you just jump parallel to it. As soon as I did this I got it first time, then tried another 5 times and got over the fence 3/5. Made a big difference for me, hope it helps someone else.

There's a line of the ground I use. It's like the fourth horizontal line away from the can, towards you. I use reaction and jump right at that, and I make it every time.
