Tiger's meanness has been discussed long before any of this current mess. I don't need to defend something that is common knowledge. What makes it common knowledge isn't one person on You Tube, its the fact that so many people are now admitting, yes we realized he was an asshole but ignored it.

I've seen him in San Diego three times, twice in Palm Desert. We'd watch him or his caddy get pissed off for things no other golfer would complain about. If someone in the far away would be walking about he would stop and yell at them to stop, or he would send his caddy off to move somebody because they had bright shirt that distracted him, really pretty funny sometimes, but there was a mean spirit to their attitude and the networks would show it during the broadcast but not on the news.
Tiger sometimes drops his club, and he only really gets annoyed at cameras going off [which all players get annoyed at.] The bright shirt is a total nonsense. Surely you have enough ammunition to spread your hate without making up lies? When Tiger goes round he basically ignores everything around him.
The "bright shirt" thing has happened often, it wasn't an isolated innocent. You're not a golfer otherwise you would have known that. Tiger's antics on the course were documented long ago. I'm not saying people hated him for it, but people knew he did those things, its only recently that they begin to add up, do you get that? Do you even follow GOLF com or PGA com or any of those?
I follow golf a great deal and I have never heard of this bright shirt comment. It would be impossible for Tiger to move every person wearing a bright shirt from his eyeline and never in the 5 years of following him have I ever seen him try. I regularly visit PGATour website and I watch most PGA Tour events. I am pretty well informed about the world of golf right now and most of what you say contradicts what I have seen.
People who follow golf knew that Tiger had bad tantrums and yelled at people, it just that it happens all the time in other sports and a lot of people, especially younger fans, don't care and don't equate it with bad behavior or being a jerk...that would be MY assessment. But its not an unreasonable assessment. Tiger is not the first professional golfer to act like that either, he's just the first of to make it all the way to the top and be considered a leader in the sport.

I've seen Tiger play at tournaments on numerous occasions and the only way he could be criticized is that he doesn't interact with fans at all. He gets in his own little world and nothing seems to disturb him. Some people don't like that and thats fair enough but he certainly doesn't go round yelling at people.
Finally, let me add that I didn't hate Tiger until all this broke, even with all the antics I described on the course. I pretty much thought of it as the sign of the times, players in all sports are more arrogant today and with Michael Vick and others doing much worse Tiger wasn't really on my hit list. What I am saying that none of the stuff that is happening is that much of a surprise. Not that he had all the girlfriends, but being arrogant and above it all.

I'm not a "hater" but I think most people (golfers included) are now coming to realize that the media hid the real Tiger (his arrogance as a golfer, husband and human being). Oh I have followed the media but I'm able to distinguish between fact and speculation. And thank you, comparing Tiger Woods to Hitler just shows how ridiculous this has become. I've only read that happening twice, once with Nicholson and once with Tiger's wife. Golf Digest Dec 2007 web article: "In 1994, after being cut off in traffic, Nicholson used a golf club to smash another motorist's windshield. It was (and still is) the most famous instance of road rage meeting golf tantrum."

I'm not the first to make the comment and if you read the sports commentaries you will find that its not only a common belief among golf fans but of sports analysts who cover the sport as well. Whereas Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicholas were gentlemen on and off the links, Tiger never was. Tiger was a lot of things, gentlemen was not one of them. He treated fans and other players like shit, this is common knowledge. That fact that he treated his wife that way should be no surprise.

I've seen him in San Diego three times, twice in Palm Desert. We'd watch him or his caddy get pissed off for things no other golfer would complain about. If someone in the far away would be walking about he would stop and yell at them to stop, or he would send his caddy off to move somebody because they had bright shirt that distracted him, really pretty funny sometimes, but there was a mean spirit to their attitude and the networks would show it during the broadcast but not on the news.

I'm not saying people hated him for it, but people knew he did those things, its only recently that they begin to add up, do you get that? Do you even follow GOLF com or PGA com or any of those?

It would be impossible for Tiger to move every person wearing a bright shirt from his eyeline and never in the 5 years of following him have I ever seen him try. I regularly visit PGATour website and I watch most PGA Tour events. I am pretty well informed about the world of golf right now and most of what you say contradicts what I have seen.

People who follow golf knew that Tiger had bad tantrums and yelled at people, it just that it happens all the time in other sports and a lot of people, especially younger fans, don't care and don't equate it with bad behavior or being a jerk...that would be MY assessment. But its not an unreasonable assessment. Tiger is not the first professional golfer to act like that either, he's just the first of to make it all the way to the top and be considered a leader in the sport.

I've seen Tiger play at tournaments on numerous occasions and the only way he could be criticized is that he doesn't interact with fans at all. Finally, let me add that I didn't hate Tiger until all this broke, even with all the antics I described on the course. I pretty much thought of it as the sign of the times, players in all sports are more arrogant today and with Michael Vick and others doing much worse Tiger wasn't really on my hit list. What I am saying that none of the stuff that is happening is that much of a surprise. Not that he had all the girlfriends, but being arrogant and above it all.

Though I meant Nicklaus, Jack Nicholson, the actor, is also a golfer (recreation), and he got a lot of publicity for chasing someone down and smashing their windshield with his golf club. I've only read that happening twice, once with Nicholson and once with Tiger's wife. Golf Digest Dec 2007 web article: "In 1994, after being cut off in traffic, Nicholson used a golf club to smash another motorist's windshield. It was (and still is) the most famous instance of road rage meeting golf tantrum."

I am referring to Tiger hiring Anthony Galea, a physician under investigation by federal authorities for smuggling drugs into the U.S. from Canada, for administering performance-enhancing drugs to him. Galea is NOT licensed to practice medicine in the U.S. so it is highly unlikely he would go through the effort of hiring him illegally for a routine check-up. Could it be you are VERY naive?
