Sorry, I should have known MXP was the 24 Mbps setting. I have yet to use it and find that the 17 Mbps setting (FXP?) does a great job. I wish the HF11 handled the bright parts of the screen better, but I'm definitely enjoying it.
Thanks for stopping by! Not sure what you mean by MXP. I had my Canon HF11 camera in HD mode, set for 17 Mbps, on the "Easy" setting. I edited with the software that comes with the camera (I forget what it's called at the moment), then used other software to convert to WMV format, since YouTube often chokes for me when uploading AVCHD files.

Oh, MXP is the setting above 17mbps, it's 24mbps, nice videos, I have the hf100 and just debating to get the hf11, hf100 doesn't have mxp.
