  • i watched this about an hour ago thinking ill never need this but just now while i was playing the pedal snapped in half.. and it caused me to fail the song... hahaha

  • I still use a rb1 stock set ( i really want some ions) but my pedal broke like 5 months after i got the game.... I fixed it by sawing off a wooden blade of a broken ceiling fan and glued the sensor on. it is still working but it has a crapload of resistance so after a couple of songs it starts to hurt my ankle.

  • @tennisfreak360 LMFAO.

  • or you could just buy a pedal that is actually good... cuz I HATE the feel of the rockband pedals. get an roadie pedal (i love this thing) or a rock pedal (pricey but good).

  • shit does break right at the bottom where the pin is

  • It happened to me

And mine already CAME with a metal plate 0_o

  • How amazing would it be if shit actually got delivered that fast.

  • many rockband players like myself play with there toes on the bottom half of the pedal because of its speed and efficiancy but the lack of quality the stock bass pedals that come with the drum sets break after rigorous playing(expert level).

the metal plate serves as a support for the plastic when you apply pressure to the middle part of the fragile pedal.

    hope that helped =)

  • My buddy took a Street Sign and used tin snips and a drill. Hilarious that he wasn't the only one to come up with it... Later versions have a metal plate on them already! Great minds...

  • your shit dont break 0:50

  • Okay so you could buy one off of Ebay, or you could you know...Do what I did an just screw a piece of metal on your pedal?

  • I got my pedal and the screws dont go in at all....

  • This is why i bought the RB2 drumset.

  • lol same... it comes with the metal thingy on top already... i hate the drums though.. i want goddwood

  • this guy sounds and resembles ty pennington can i get a witness!!!

  • i have the same thing, metal plate on the foot part. but since they expect 3year olds to play their stuff, my base of the foot petal broke, just make an aluminum plate and screw it to the bottom and it fixes it pretty good.

  • ahhhhh. ic thats why my foot pedal haznt broken because mine came stock with the metal base plate

  • i was too cheap and impatient to buy the metal and wait for it to come in, so i made something like this out of wood lol

    hey, whatever works right?

  • this pedal is pretty good, but i personally prefer the one on my chan

  • That was so fast!! haa

  • its good but here another idea how about u alighnt put the frst screw so its strhight then put gurilla glue stick it down then take out the first screw and ur done

  • Hey guys I found a way to really fix the rock band 2 bubbles perfectly......come check out my video on my profile, you wont need to do the method again for about 5-9 months because it works really good........come check it out please!

  • someone's probably already mentioned this but, don't hold it like he's holding it, when you're applying all that pressure and the screwdriver slips it's going straight thru your hand

  • at 3:38 "thats what she said"

  • win.

  • looool

  • Comment removed

  • your just not good at prbly

  • i just super glued the fucker LOL

  • hey!! listen i got an emergency my rockband 2 bass pedal broke but not where the metal is... it broke in the lower part of the back end... and now i dont know how to fix it!!!

  • tape it down at the base

  • i made my self a new wooden one! I did not really like so i fitted the sensors onto an old drum pedal (real drums). And just earlier on today i took the bass pedals of my electric deum kit and plugged it into rockband and it works/!

  • Same here.

  • get the mega pedal as a replacement. i have it right now and it works great. its like 30 dollars and it ships fairly fast if i can remember (maybe about a week in all)

  • get the destroyer pedal

  • i made one of those myself.

POWER TOOLS WORK FINE! even if it's already broken.

  • Exactly what i did haha

  • this wouldnt even help me. all my pedals break right at the very bottom not in the middle..that piece of metal wouldn't even help...anyone else have this same problem?

  • yeah, i have the same problem. this mod is useless. i'm going to buy a real bass pedal and modify it. there should be a lawsuit against EA for all these defective pedals and their crappy 60 day warranty.

  • there is a product with a hinge that will fix breaks at the VERY bottom,

  • If your pedal already has a small crack in it, but is still in one piece, would doing this mod snap it?

  • you have the same desk as me

  • haha he prolly uses tht doll in the back as a sex toy cuz he cant get any

  • haha you're only saying that because that's what you do...

why are you commenting like that... really stupid comments mean stupid youtube users...

  • good one:D

  • yep prolly

  • mine snaped in the middle of an online comp in my school so retarded

  • could just add alot of super glue and outline the edges, not so the glue oozes out if you get what i mean

  • my guess is that you sell these online, if you do, you're a douche bag.

if you do not sell these online, you're also a douche bag. it's a fucking piece of metal you asshole

  • i got this exact mod after i broke my rockband wii kit's pedal (guess im to HXC lol) but i got mine off amazon, only complaint screws arent flush with the pedal, but its easy to get used to best low budget mid for rb n makes the pedal almost indestructible (can do heel-toe ect)

  • its quick, its fast :) lol 5/5

  • what is this national watch faggy dick suckers day?

  • Do u still need it if youve got guitar hero world tour pedal.

  • I would rather lick hot balls than to rather order something worth ($15.00 + $6.00 (shipping) =) $21.00.

  • This mod is definately worth it, but you don't need to buy the kit if you have access to a jusk yard or scrap pile(and some metal cutting tools). Mine looks a little less fancy and it doesn't have the nice texture on it but it was free so why not?

  • Where are the guitar and drum mods?

  • good thing the rock band 2 drum set is metal and not only is that the diffrence with the new drums but there quiter

  • Being british finally bites me in the ass, I CAN'T ORDER IT IN ENGLAND!

  • rb2 pedal already has metal haha

  • another easy way is to just cut any kind of wood shaped like the bass pedal and glue it on!

  • some ppl get all mad u can do this yourself isnt easier to just waste 12 buxks at megapedal than having to do All the work.

  • nice i just bought this for my brother because his pedal snaped in half. i hope it comes soon

  • Why would you spend money on something that you could easely just build yourself?

  • I forgot to mention that if you break your foot petal a great thing to use and that can be found at your local hardware store is DUCT TAPE.I know this because this is what I used when I broke mine and it works just fine.

  • it actually does work. mine broke in 2 different places and i used gorilla glue...broke again haha.

then i got 2 butter knives and duct taped them to the bottom of it and now it wont break even if i stomp on it haha

  • haha GORILLA GLUE

    sounds retarded

  • So, it's just a piece of grip aluminum?

  • go to rockbandpedal(dot)net and buy that pedal. It's expensive but it never will break, double hit on you, and it will raise your scores drastically.

  • will this work well on a already broken drum pedal?

  • I bought a pedal online (Not these metal covers, but a thick piece of black wood) and it worked great. After a couple of months, the plastic bottom of the pedal split in two and I couldn't play with it anymore. I'm sure this pedal would be exactly like that.

  • he said shit

  • how does this help?

  • Wow. All this for "creating" fake music.

  • yeah but my friends broke like 5 times in like 2 weeks they're crappy plastic so it kinda worth it

  • the drumset that they make are shit. Its kinda necessary to get one of these. Also, its just a video game, i dont know why people get upset because they play on plastic drumsets. If i was playing halo 3, would you tell me to get a real gun and start shooting people?

  • ik dude they get all pissed "well their just bitches that cant play real drums" hey all the assholes that think that.. over 85% of ppl who play rockband are real drummers and just want this game... FOR A GAME u fucking prick bastards so shut the hell up when u say its just fake fucking music

  • DHL. I am supprised that you even got the pedal!

  • Hey just a heads up.... your a dumbass. If you actually spend all that time to get the diamond plate, measure it and even attempt to get it cut smooth then you have probably spent 2 hours on it at least, and it will be a worse product then the one you can buy online. you can buy it, and have it in three days, or you can go through the hassle of making a shitty product yourself. have fun.

  • that last comment was in regards to randomcreations1 btw

  • Lawl, my dad cut one from a piece of metal like he said and it works perfect. It hasnt broken, its been painted so you cant see it and in my opinion it couldnt really get better. So dont fucking yell at him for posting his opinions. If you want to see a picture of mine, ask me and ill show you how well it works.

  • Rock Band isn't as good as a good ol' jam session. Luckly all my friends play instruments.

  • Give me 1 reason why this is embarrassing to America?

  • u could think they'd at least predrill the diamond plate and give u flattop self tappers instead of roundtops.....some ppl just don't know how to make a product.

  • The plates are already have holes in them and the screws they come with drill themselves into the plastic otherwise he wouldn't get anywhere turning normal screws in to it. Or he would have drilled it anyways(I don't recall him doing that). If you want screws that are flat top self tappers there is another plate that they sell that uses them.....some People just don't know how to pay attention

  • You could make some good money making these plates lol

  • dont strip the screw either :P

  • ......wont that break your petal?

  • And this achieves..?

  • a bass pedal with about a 10,000 time longer life span

  • the palstic undearneat will still b reak dont get it XD

  • i just use a real bass pedal

  • will it void the warranty?

  • yep any mods to any product voids warrentys

  • lol you dont teed screws just really good double side tape xP

  • haha. nice.

  • can you say douchbag

  • douchbag

  • can you spell douche bag ?

  • nope :( so ill cheat off ur spelling, lol

  • haha ok

  • DOOOOOSHBAYGE! haha. jk

  • lol?

  • i was just trying to spell it really bad.

  • Can anyone else guess what his desktop background is?

  • lol :EpilepticGaming

  • wtf what if urs is already broken how the fuck do you put the metal thing on?!

  • dude u could go get a scrap piece of sheet metal from somewhere and cut out the shape u need then put it on the pedal and save urself like 12 bucks

  • thats what i did hehe

  • my rock band pedal broke at the very end buy my heal. what should i do?

  • i just used some super glue and some duct tape xD, it works

  • that same thing happened to me, what i did is duct tape it back together first then duct tape where it broke to the base of the peddle works perfect.

  • I did that too, but it broke again. I'd suggest doing the same thing but add glue in the crack, then tape it up after. That seems to work really well for me (I used Gorilla Glue)

  • is it true that the rock band instruments are less likey to break if u got rock band recently?

  • I think so, because they probably weren't trying to rush things to much like they did on the rock band release date and now they can take their time on the instruments and actually have this shit work.

  • Wtf $15 and $6 shipping what a rip off lol

  • what if its already cracked right in half? can you just line up the two plastic pieces and screw the metal right on top if its already broken?

  • you can actually find the pedal metal on amazon too

  • All you need to do if you REALLY want a piece of metal on your kick pedal, cut it yourself, if you can't manage that all you need to do is get megapedal(what they put on real kits) or what ever people call it, and if it snaps on the base of the pedal, all you need is electrical tape, don't buy this shit its just people trying to make easy cash, and if your that into it buy a real kit

  • ok thx man

  • f**K that i made my own from scratch. All u have to do is cut metal

  • Man, i bought this pedal off the website over a month ago and it still hasn't arrived! It's not like i even live out in the middle of nowhere either. i live in toronto, canada, which is pretty much the biggest city in canada...like what the F*ck? where's my pedal guys?

  • does it fit for the wiis bass petal

  • All the bass pedals are the same size..

  • hmmm nice idea!

  • wont it break inside the pedal? where that orange plastic thing is?

  • It does. I bought this and the base of the pedal snapped. Buyer BEWARE.

  • will it fit on the wii's bass petal

  • I cut out a piece of wood and did exactly the same think - works a charm - probably cheaper than this anyways....my pedal was already cnapped when i did it and i used power tools ;-)

  • my bass pedal snapped 2 days ago. would i have to buy a new pedal and the metal plate, or does installing the metal palte hold the parts together (it just snapped in one spot near the bottom)

  • whats the point i dont get it.....

  • so your bass pedal wont break

  • the plastic pedal it comes with brakes. was that s hard to answer the person question

  • why are we paying £15-30 for a plate of metal and some screws =/ over priced wish they wud lower it

  • will it work if your pedal is already broken in half? or does it have to be a new one?

  • doesn't matter

  • i have the same toshiba Satellite

  • Seems like a good idea, but a couple questions:

Does this void the warranty if you need to send the drums in for repair/replacement?

and will this encourage you to use more force and possibly break something under the metal plate, like the bottom frame of the pedal?

  • My fucking pedal broke in 2 places. On shor notice, we took a few pencils, and taped them on the top in a vertical line so the pedal stays straight. the only downside is if you are playing with socks or bare feet, youre stepping on pencils.

  • or u could just send ur broken one in for free and get another for free

  • or duct tape..:)

  • For the sake of eh saving a few bucks??... This shit is easy!! LOL priceless

  • i dont like my shit broken

  • the screws are gonna hurt your foot when u use the pedal =)

unless you have really big socks =P

  • would tape work better then using screws?

  • This video should be called "Easy way to stick a screwdriver through your own hand". Don't do it like this guy. Keep your other hand somewhere else.(3:28)

  • Dude your totaly stupid. He screwed into the pedal.

  • I think I know what you are trying to say, I'm not talking about the screw. I'm talking about when you are pushing down on the screwdriver to get the screw going into the plastic. If you slip off the head of the screw the tip of the screw driver is either going to hit the plate or your hand.

    why do I bother....

  • you make sense. this guy is an idiot. how much of a throwback does he get from the sellers of this plate. what's the point of this vid. who can't screw in some screws?!

  • 0:32 "Boobies!"

  • lawl, made it myself, why buy.

  • this and the gum pad mods are probably thee worst mods. you don't have to spend tons of money on what you can make your self. The best drum mods are the destroyer pedal and the sock mod.

  • That depends on how cheap the material is if you can make it yourself. In my case, i can make such plate for the pedal for free. And the Sock mod is cheap as well if you don't own some crew socks to use.

  • well it helps me but i dunno thats my opinion.

  • Can you just glue it on?

  • this is dum

  • can this werk on a cracked 1

  • it should work on a cracked one. we actually used a gas pedal off an old car to fix a cracked pedal.

  • i did the same thing, and i love it!

  • does it help you play better at the rock band drums too?

  • EG Rocks! I got my pedal and its awesome! and my drums kit even looks more professional. Thanks again EG. I love the vids..keep em comming...

  • screw that i duct tape my shit on

  • So did I. It works fine.

  • how does that mod go??

  • i made mine at work out of metal i cut out of a car door (i work in an autobody shop). since my pedal was cracking at the very bottom, right on the hinge, one of these "pedal metal" things would not have solved my problem, so i used the malleable metal from a car door, and it curls right around the pin at the bottom of the pedal. i attached it with some heavy duty metal-to-plastic glue used in car repair. so far, the thing is amazing and invincible.
