what gauge string would someone use to add a string on the high end of an 8 string? helpp plz!!

Well is this case it's three bass strings, then 5 guitar strings.
So I'm pretty sure that most any gauge would work!

Simply remarkable, a new standard in jazz guitar playing. Amazing concentration and willful determination - muscling your brain and fingers into splitting up the fingerboard and thinking like that. It hurts my head just to watch! Awesome - wow! I don't mean to diss people but Charlie Hunter has NOTHING on this guy. Super kudos to you Jason!

Jason, I am quite impressed. Others may compare you to Charlie Hunter, due to instrument and technique, but you've got your own voice on the instrument, your own sound, and I have quite enjoyed it! Kudos!
