The only things the 5th game did better on were the graphics and making chainsaws tougher to kill. Unfortunately, they made them easier to avoid.

RE5 just had no "horror" element to it, just action. People just blast through the highest difficulty with inf. ammo rocket launcher and the only good original enemies were the reaper and the executioner on Lost in Nightmares. Re 5 was an ok game, but 4 was on such a higher level and it was the main reason 5 sold so well.

RE4 was definitely better thn 5. I liked the Coop of 5 and the boss battles were freaking awesome, but that was it. The enemies took way too long to attack (like the chainsaw guy did his little dance before he swung- wtf?), the story was entirely too short, there was very little horror element to it- the list goes on.

I played and beat resident evil 4 and 5 on the 360 and I would have to say I like them both. Some of them have their pros and cons but they are still great games. That's just my opinion, as I am a resident evil fan. Some of you guys might have a different opinions about them so if your looking for a more action based game I would recommend re5. I only use RE5 for the Mercs mode. I like that more then the story whilst RE4 it's the other way around. Plus in RE4 no one is cooler then Leon however in RE5 anyone with the right sense can honestly say that Sheva, Josh and Wesker were way cooler then Chris then add Reunion to the mix and Barry is cooler then Chris lol

5 was a failure. I knew it before after seeing many fan comments, but I still wanted to give it a try. Well, a complete waste of my time I can tell you. The gameplay sucked, you constantly had to supply your lame-ass sidekick who's more of a dead-weight than useful. The puzzles were insanely easy, if you can even call them puzzles. The inventory is too small and done on purpose to give more stuff to Sheva .Worst of all, Chris looks all tough and badass, but still got his ass kicked by Wesker.

re4 is better when it comes to storyline and weapons, it has bigger and stronger more diverse bosses. Re5 has the same bosses over and over again. the uroboros creature gets boring after a while! in re4, the village boss is The Big Cheif with Dr. salvador and El Gigante as his sub bosses. The Castle belongs to Salazar, with the Virdugo and Garrador as his sub bosses. Then theres the island, and Saddler is the boss. He also has several sub bosses such as Krauser, JJ, Regenerator, and Iron Maiden.

RE5 closed the plotline made by 4. But i would really like an RE with both zombies and plagas. A very long game with good sections of action, horror, puzzle solving and backtracking. All it would take is some good spacing and balance.

Resident Evil 5 may have better graphics, but that's what happens when you have a sequel that comes out four or five years after RE 4. RE4 all the way. I didn't like the whole coop thing cause i usually played it by myself and so i would have to babysit sheva while she wasted so much ammo. RE4 is just a lot more fun to play, and scarier too

I beat re4 1 time ( I started it when I was like.. 6 years old....and i got so scared of it after beating the big cheese, tht i resumed it about...2-3 years later..) I eventually beat the game, but the point is is tht I REALLY enjoyed the game and connected with the characters. I got the remake for PS3 to play it again and it feels like the good old days again :) .. Re5 i played it 1 time and got sooo bored of it..
