  • you might want to slow down your negative and you will build alot more strength and also do some rotator cup work. looking good though keep it going

  • @agog86 Thanks!

  • you are the warrior

  • @cbomcnasty Thanks man!

  • right b4 his lift

    Hey dad..can u spot me...

  • very strong!

  • @HappyGuitarGuy Thank you!

  • can you post a link to the dumbbell handles?

  • Thank you!

  • Great lifts bro!

  • thats some pretty heavy weight to, r thouse adjustable DBs

  • @muzimuzi Thanks! Yeah they are adjustable also.

  • FAKE its 164.5! =p

  • acuestate mariconaaa

  • hi I do apology for asking this question. You are lifting weight but how come your body is seem to be kind of fat? It doesn't seem to be ripped at all. You are not the only one. I've seen other people too. But I never manage to ask them question. Again, I do apology for asking this question. I hope you won't get offense.

  • @vsonic86 No problem.I'm training for strength,i'm not bodybuilding so i'm not trying to get cut.

  • Dude, you a pretty fucking strong, but listen to better music and you will be even stronger!

  • @Cmac1000rr Haha ok,,,,thanks for the comment!

  • Good work but i just dont see the point in doing that much weight , its got to be killer on the joints. Its good to be in shape but why do some want to kill them selves doing carzy weight , its not like it makes you a bad ass or anything.

  • @shampoo02 I lift to be strong and you can't do that using light weights. You have to continually push your limits all the time...it's not for everyone.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • @HHH396 do any of your joints ever bother you by the way , yes i agree its not for everyone.if you dont mind me asking why is it for you , or I mean what do you get out of it ? It cant be for health because you dont have to lifet all that weight to be in good shape , it cant be for figting because it doesnt help you hit harder. It cant be for everyday living and task as avarge mucel mass can handel most of that . Just wanted to know .

  • @shampoo02 Yes my joints aggravate me quite a bit in fact.I just love the challenge of continually making myself stronger and also the fact that i very much enjoy lifting heavy.I have been doing this most of my life and it is just part of who i am.The sport of powerlifting is pretty much exclusively about continually increasing your strength....and that's what i'm doing!

  • @HHH396 Well I guess its kind of like a hobby , well I wish you the best of luck and hope that your joints dont ever let you down as they dont seem to be real bad . Its better to be doing this than drugs or being a drunk so good luck and long lifting to you .

  • @shampoo02 Thank you! I appreciate your comments!

  • @HHH396 take care

  • @shampoo02 lifting heavy weights obviously helps you hit harder. a guy whos strong with perfect punching technique will hit harder than a guy who's weak. brock lesnar doesnt have better technique than mayweather but he probably hits harder.

  • @rctriplefresh5 Like Mike Tyson said hard hitters are born not made , you can be a 140 pound guy and hit harder than a body builder with a lot of mucel . Its a god given gift and thats a fact as im a boxer myself , not saying im a bad ass but from expericence its very true.

  • @rctriplefresh5 As for Brock Lesnar yes im sure having that mucel helps to a point but lets look at facts , its not even just mucel its the the speed and mass behind it that makes a punch much more harder. You can have a massive guy that dosent have a lot of mucel but can hit with all his weight behind it with good speed and the hit will be more than a 130 pound guy with nothing but speed and nothing behind it unless they are a gifted puncher with skill.Point is that mucel can get in the way.

  • nice lifting man

  • @taipan342 Thank you!

  • is you not good fack jebac kurwy

  • What is the point in this :L

  • This is the worst spotting that i've ever seen in my life. Might want to unload the barbell first before doing DB's.

  • good job ..not bad on the dumbell..nxt week im gonna post up my 170lb dumbell 26 half reps..its a dumbell challenge im doing on youtube cuz this UK body builder challenge any body who can beat him and im surprise no one step up so ya im gonna step up and beat him and get free gift..besure to subscribe and check out my challenge video nxt week..

  • @divinefist253 Thanks! I'll be sure to check it out.

  • Good job man!

  • @krastins777 Thank you!

  • perhaps your idea of close grips - your grip is wide as f*ck... do your triceps even feel it??!! Are you a PL?? If not it is definitely time to cut...

  • @S1lvarfox That's about the norm for most power lifters on close grip width.Going really narrow on the grip does nothing for your power.I want my close grip power to transfer over to my bench press power.I am a power lifter and i have no interest at this time to cut.

  • @HHH396 Don't listen to this idiot. This is a pretty close grip, close enough to be called close grip.

  • can you please tell me where you got the dumbells? you can change th eweights of them?

  • @veryfuck You can change the weights on them within about 20 lbs.I'' send u the link where i bought them.

  • @incrediblehulkrobert

Btw, I liked the tutorial of bench grips at the end, for the record, my close grips like yours (grip slightly less than shoulder width)

  • @IncredibleHulkRobert Yeah i don't like going to close because it's hell on the wrist and feels awkward.

  • LOL at ownxinxrobes's cummy pants comment! I laughed my ass of at that hysterical comment when you even replied! Btw, you're strong on this video, you're stronger now, especially at 164.5lb dumbbell presses :)

  • @IncredibleHulkRobert Haha thanks buddy!

  • I recently had a PR with 160s on the incline. Then I noticed the gym didn't add the bar so it was really 165s! Made me do a happy dance. Good job man!

  • lmfao thats an awesome video! classic man. hey where did you get them dumbells anyways? I can only find 1 gym that even goes up to 150's. Keep up the hard work!

  • @kfolkers1000 Thank you! I bought the handles and the weights and made them myself.A lot cheaper than buying them already made.

  • what's with this fuccing music

  • nice cummy pants :S obviously strain a little tooooo hard.. :\

  • @ownxinxrobes That's chalk you dipshit!

  • You are obviously proud of your lifting here. But wouldn't you prouder if you actually got yourself into good shape?

  • @anonymous1542 I'm a powerlifter not a bodtbuilder.I'm not looking to get cut....and who says i'm not in shape.I have a very phsyical job and i can put out a lot of work in a day.Don't be fooled because i have a little body fat.

  • he doesnt look like he could do it

    hes really strong damn...

  • oh, it was the only guy : /

  • the first guy looks funny : D

  • hello there!! I have to admit your strength is amazing!! My question is when your muscles are that strong; why would you keep training for strength and not try to get cut up? I see tons of people in my gym that are strong as fuck but look kind of "bulky" and dare i say kinda fat! You sir would be a fuking beast if you would get cut up.

  • your buddy looks like he'd rather be cracking a PBR and watching the game than spotting your crazy ass, lol

  • that's some strong scales you've got there, i fucked mine up putting a 25 lb plate on it.

  • @adamscott Not really just a cheap scale. You must have a really cheap ass one haha

  • @mickfortis Thanks bro! It just takes time and effort. If you stick with it long enough,u can get to some pretty big numbers.

    I'll check out your vid.

  • lol come on man. if you ever want to compete with the big boys you have to work harder.

  • @crienze haha I knew I wasn't working hard enough!

  • Great Job!

  • @usaone100 Thank you!

  • that's incredible man. good job. It's my goal to do this by the end of the year.

  • @HeavyMetalBoise Thanks a lot!

  • thats heavy dbs i handle 145 for 3 and 4th rep with a decent spot impressive

  • @eskrimafighter Thank you!

  • Wow, awsome job man! Great song aswell.

  • @TheMan0092 Thanks bro!

  • damn dude ur strong as shit...like the song too

  • @changobacafuut Thanks man,I appreciate that!

  • nice lifting bro... keep up the good work

  • @bambam2116 Thanks a lot!

  • those r some heavy ass dumbells! damn haha! and also some heavy close grips.. im lucky if i can get 320 for one rep normal grip! very explosive display on strength there.. keep the vids comin!

  • @PowerlifterTy16 Thanks Ty! Yeah they are pretty damn good size! Hopefully I can do a even bigger set soon.

  • Nice lifting Mark. Those are monstrous lifts. Although I love how you're like: "I was feeling weak today", but I always see "PR" next to most of your sets. You're doing something right Mark and you're really starting to slim out.

  • @cyberkai99 Thanks buddy! I'm not sure of the slim out part haha

  • way to bust out a huge dumbbell bench pr!

  • @WeightLifterNerd Thanks Jared! Yeah I haven't done them in ages either.I'll see how I feel,I would like to try 174-175 or 170's x 2-3.

  • Thats very strong Mark, congrats on the PR, thats some big Dumbells, you look very strong, keep up the great training and videos

  • @dario2004 Thanks Dario,appreciated....I hope your training is going well!

  • Nice lift Mark !!

  • @zaz01 Thanks man,I appreciate it!

  • i orderd some of those safty racks for the bench looks like a good idea!

  • @bomdigi1 Yeah it could save your life!

  • Awesome triceps strength! I thought my 315 x1 was impressive.

  • @Pedigo2388 Thanks bro!

  • great job mark deff. a 5 star vid!

  • @hungryforlifting Thanks bro, I appreciate it!

  • Great lifts and I like the music! Think you can bang out 150x10?

  • @A550RGY Hey man! Yeah I do feel like I can get 150 x 10.I may try that in a week or two!....Thanks bro!

  • @HHH396 You can get it bro! What was your previous best for 150 DBs?

  • @A550RGY I believe 5 or 6 reps but that was done a while back.I'm a lot stronger now,so I should be in the 10 rep area now.

  • Good lifts...just not sure about the music choice.

  • @srb8522 Thanks...haha I just like that song.

  • I was about to call your close grip out on not being close enough, until i saw your commentary.. ha ha just kidding.

You're a god damn animal mark!!

  • @lilticklez Thanks bro! I just showed that because I think some people think my close grip is the same as my regular grip. Also I'm 2-3 reps stronger with the wider grip.

  • great job Mark! Think you could press 175's? scary to think that you're only 35lbs per DB away from repping 200s! :O

  • @SML693 Thanks buddy! Yeah I'll see if I can get the 175's in a couple weeks....That's a huge jump!

  • Comment removed

  • good job big bro

  • @bigfattrolllord Thanks big guy!

  • strong tricep strength

  • @silatguy Thank you!

  • you are the warrior man, good tutorial on your bench grips too :)

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 Thanks Lee! I appreciate it!

  • @BIGDADDYJOHNSON27 hes widened his grip a lot. his close grip used to be near his refular, and his regular used to be his wider grip also. nhopefully it works!

  • Awesome Job Mark!!! Your always raising the bar on me. The 165s were INCREDIBLE. I really thought you had at least 2 more in you. Very strong reps

    1000 stars

  • @otk8963 Hey buddy! I never see you on here anymore! How's everything going, are you still hitting the weights?

    Thanks Andrew!

  • Everything is going good. Still hitting the weights hard. Trying to go back down to 198lbs then I'll start my power program again. Right now working on everything and cardio. Working hardest on Lats,Traps, tris and hams to help my bench, squat and deads.

  • man good job!

  • @tlast2O12dude Thanks Pablo!

  • good job man

  • @freeze00000 Thanks bro!

  • are those dumbells capable of switching plates, or are they permanent?

  • @bettydaw1970 I can change plates on them, but only by a plate or so.They are a fixed length. They have an allen screw on the end.

  • Nice work!

  • @cford77 Thanks Cyrus!

  • Good Job !!!!

  • @pcgab Thank you!

  • Strong workout Mark! Even if its off your best still impressive!

  • @powabuilda Thanks Nate! How has your lifting been going?

  • big progress Mark! How's everything been brotha?

  • @409man Hey Gabe good to hear from you man! It's been pretty good,I've been burnt out a little bit lately.Trying to get some of my strength back. How's has the lifting been with you?....Thanks bro!

  • @HHH396 everything has been good Mark just taking it easy and going hard when I can! I just havent had time to put up any videos lately, but I have been working hard in the gym brotha. Dont worry your strength aint going nowhere!! Rest up and hit it hard!

    Gabe

  • @Kazmaier No no your the king on these for a while!

  • thanks mark theres more to come, this year im shifting a gear and taking training alot more seriously.

  • @franco18grant I look forward to it! You're a great lifter!

  • @Kazmaier Yeah I remember the video.That was excellent.Maybe some day I'll hit 180's x 3.....it will be a while though lol ;)

  • No way mark, with my right i only got 3 reps so using both arms i would of only got 3.. 4 weeks ago my right side was MUCH stornger however when i tweeked my rite pec, it effected my strength now its reversed! left is now stronger! plus dont forget i was using 4 x 25s and 2 x 35s meaning the diameter of the plates is much larger than the 10 lb plates on your bell... so my ROM is at least two inches shorter.. i think using your bells i would of probably strugged to hit 3 reps.

  • @franco18grant Well either way I was mighty impressed by your 165 x 5....much respect bro!

  • Those are some massive db's Mark! Great job on the close grip PR - it looks like your starting to make a come back!

  • @j0540212 Thanks Josh! I still feel weak believe it or not...but I hope your right!

  • @PropitiousSoul Thanks man! Yeah the bigger the dumbells get the harder they are to handle. If u mess up just a little they will fall right on the floor!

  • @Kazmaier Thanks Alex! I would've liked 4 reps ...but I'm happy with this!

  • nice mate, i include the weight of my handles and collars altogher the handle weighs 9 lbs and the collars half a lb a piece, it all counts bro.

  • @franco18grant Thanks Grant! You did 5 reps with one arm,do u think u can get 5 reps with both arms at the same time?

  • Love to see some dumbell action, a lot of people dont take advantage of anything but the bench press for chest. nice pr! my 3rm for dumbells is 95

  • @pmip247 Thanks bro! Yeah I need to do them more myself!

  • Nice job with those dumbells and the close-grips. Your strength is coming back nicely....

I wonder if you have 410 lbs in ya on the close-grip...what do you think? Your close-grip seems to trail your regular grip by about what? 20 lbs?

I better hit 415 lbs right away to give you a challenge....ha, ha...

    Great work bro!

  • @BRETZERR Thanks buddy! Yeah my close grip usually trails my wide grip by 15-20 lbs.Now assuming I've lost a bit on my wide grip from being slightly burned out,I think My max is around 425 or so.That would put me at around 405-410 close grip. This is all speculation though because I haven't actually done it.Since I haven't done it you're king of the close grip! I'll give it a try at one of my workouts in the next few weeks.

  • @HHH396

Sounds great bro - looking forward to seeing the vid.

  • As always, you da' man ya' big powerhouse!

  • @fleiscd Thanks my friend!

  • good job mark! keep going!

  • @kraftsportNO Thanks a lot Per!

  • so mark since you dont usually count the handles is this truly a pr? i know youve never done more than 155 with your old method. are these what you would consider 160s if you hadnt weighed them?

dude 165s for 3 is epic. either way even if this is only 160s by your opld method, you repped a weight you couldnt do for 1 rep for 3!

    thhats pretty sick.

  • @rctriplefresh5 I've done 155's x 3 not counting the handle which actaually weighed 159 or so.I've done these same dumbells for 1 rep,so yeah it's a 2 reps PR! I have 8 10 lb plates a side= 160 lbs plus the handles which weigh 4.5 lbs.

    Thanks Dave!

  • mark of course you count the handles, any moron would!!! 5 pounds is counted no matter what, especially on one handed lifts. 5 pounds per hands is 10 total pounds extra weight on the bars!!!!!!!!!!!!

on a barbell with two hands 5 pounds feels a lot sometimes, but on dumbells 5 pounds per hand or 10 pounds is huge. oh mark i thought you never pressed 160s before. so i guess you old pr was 165x1, and you counted it as 160x1. and your best 3rm was 160 which counted ads 155.

  • @rctriplefresh5 Yeah you're right,I should've counted the handles right along.Yes my old PR was 164.5 and 155 x3 was actually 160 that I counted without the handle. All my earlier videos I never counted the handle so all those lifts are 4-5 lbs heavier than listed in the video.

  • i just deadlifted 300x21!

  • @rctriplefresh5 That's fuckin awesome dude! I hope u got a video!

  • Good work, Mark! Glad you posted the weight of the dumbbells with the handles. I have 105's (5x10's per side) and I had a guy send me a PM that I was lying about the weight. Some people think metal dumbbell handles are the weight of styrofoam. Great power on those close grips. Almost seems like you were trying to tie someones set of 10 that they just did ;)

  • @jlinteris Thanks buddy! Yeah I usually don't include the weight of the handle but like UI said every lb counts big time at these weights! I was pretty beat after that set of db's...I still thought i'd get 10 with 320 though.I mentioned my grip because even though it's just a hand spacing difference, I'm stronger by quite a bit with the regular grip.Fresh with a regular grip I can probaly get 320 x 12.

  • mine weigh 11, and oh yeah I COUNT THE CLAMPS TOO!!!!!!!

    JS.

  • @rctriplefresh5 It's funny they never count the handles in the gym pro style dumbells. When u get up to the 150's they weigh over 4 lbs, when u get over 160's they are about 5 lbs.I'm including the handle weight now in my videos and I'm weighing them also.If i have to lift it I'm counting it!

  • @jlinteris

    Ha, ha, ha........jackass.

  • Yes! Heavy freakin dumbbells!! ( Andrea was impressed how easily Bobby flipped them to you! ) Incredible display of pressing power--all around! What are you eating!??

  • @fastandrea Thanks,I'm not even at my strongest.I've been a little burned out lately but I'm happy with this workout.Just eating HEAVY that's all haha
