You're so lucky to get to work with Ted. that guy is my idol! I was actually thinking of pursuing getting the rights to Astro Zombies and remake it, but if ted wouldn't want that, then I never would.
I was fortunate enough to get to work on three of Ted's films. I doubt that Ted would "give" rights to anyone. But you never know! "The right to remake" might, might being the operative word, be available but IF it were, I'm sure that right would cost some big $s.
As far as I know, Ted, sadly, lost the rights to the original Astro Zombies, and that guy sounds like a jerk from what I read in Film Alchemy. At any rate, if you have the chance, please mention me to him. I'm a HUGE fan :)
