  • I've heard this album on and on since I was a child. Everytime I can find something new on it, really incredible!! But overall, this Rainbow Demon is so doomy and gloomy that it's probably the heaviest song on this LP.

  • @michaelschenker1955 You hit it right on the 10 ring. Rainbow Demon has such a sense of impending doom.

  • rock on ...40 yr old tight ass fem columbus ohio

  • I'm so glad that I recently discovered this incredible band!

  • No...kidding...

The first time I heard this song it was a metal cover and it sounded so strange and out of place I knew it couldn`t be the original. So glad I heard this version...this one sounds like it was meant to be

  • best album they ever made

  • best song they ever made

  • definitely my most favorite song EVER

  • i like your youtube name, BLACK SABBATH!

such a nice song, love the feeling!

  • This was one of the first albums I was turned on to when it came out.I was 15.Uriah Heep to this day is still one of my favorite bands.Too bad you can't hear music like this on the radio anymore.

  • @naturelover1957

You can. You just have to live near the right station, or try Sirius. Yep they are just sooooo good. I think I wore this cd out... Yep, they don't make 'em like this anymore.....

  • @moneyu CD? They weren't invented when this album came out! I wore this out on my hifi turntable. Great to hear this again after 40yrs.

  • Großartiger Song!

  • this is a awesome somg

  • Super !

  • Thanks for the trip down memory lane, I have this album (on vinyl) and haven't heard for ages. It's got to be 'metal' at its best!!

  • An Acid trip without the Acid!

  • Great, clear upload, thanks!

Sounds GREAT reverberating in the headphones!

  • we r the wizard, we r the rainbow demon.. which side do we chose??

  • @BattyKnightmare kill them both you will get way more experience points

  • great chemicals/chemistry to this early doom - good solo too.

  • @yak45900 Doom?? Hahaha

  • he bjumped all over the marshall stacks

  • Good vs evil, demon gets owned! Love this album too.

  • :O They say that rainbow had a Demon! But Dio killed him! :D

Excellent song by a excellent band with excellent lyrics, what else to expect?

  • If someone asks what is HEAVY music, this is the one.

  • @vesse1 I wouldn't call this exactly heavy, haha.

  • @Deathsiren And just how old are you? None of the newer so-called "metal" bands could come up with something like this on their own. Ask them who their influences are and don't be shocked if they mention this band.

  • @ologhai2 What the hell are you talking about? I'm 25, nevertheless I'm very, VERY familiar with most early bands. Especially 70's bands are my passion and so is Uriah Heep, but I wouldn't particularly call this heavy. Amazing, epic, great, yes. But heavy? That one goes to Pentagram for me. Of course I don't compare Uriah Heep to newer bands. They rise above newer bands. Age doesn't matter.

  • @Deathsiren Pentagram's sound is still derivative (you picked one of the better ones); they even cite Heep as an influence. This tune of theirs out-dooms any band that sticks the "doom" moniker on themselves to sound cool. Your initial reaction was derisive, so that made me misunderstand you.

  • @ologhai2 FOR SURE THEY HAD TO SAY IS A URIAH HEEP INFLUENCE

  • @ologhai2 - for sure, this is an absolute CLASSIC. There are a few bands nowadays that have been influenced by Uriah Heep and other bands that are actually putting out stuff that may be considered 'classics' at some time in the future... you should check out The Devils Blood, Blood Ceremony, and Jex Thoth. All are female-fronted bands that are firmly rooted in 1970s classic rock. Seriously, check em out. *thumbs up*

  • I'd rather listen to this than any Metallicca, it's better and heavier in every way and a lot more melodic and harmonic.

  • @welbyskinner Wow man VERY WELL put

  • I have this album. I used to rock out to it at age 13 + and hey, guess what? I still DO

  • This song gets so much out of so little. That's conviction for you! Gary Thain owns this groove!

  • Really cool song it reminds me a little bit of revalations by iron maiden

  • great

  • ho preso questo vinile nell 83..straordinerio
