You might think she is stuck in the 70s but;

Afghanistan is stuck in the medieval times and

the new Afghan songs are crap as compared to the music of 70s. Afghan music has had an exponential fall and unfortunately so. No wonder more people still listen to the 70s than to the many rather yucky modern ones.

I agree that most "new" Afghan music is crap, though not all... look hard & you will find some gems. However, you & these other well versed people full of hostility miss my point: Hangama is talented; she's surrounded by a talented family; and she's had the guidance of a talent like Ahmad Walid. The unfortunate truth is that she's not nurturing her talent and takes the easy route of recycling old material. She is a pro... she should be leading & defining new Afghan music.
