I'm trying to think of what context they're using 'football' are they talking about 'football' or 'futbol'? Because Rove is talking about how they hold it and kick it and let go- and that sounds like football, but then Elmo says it's called soccer here in the US, and that's futbol.

What the interviewer guy was referring too was the way goalkeepers kick the ball in soccer, because that's the most satisfying way to kick something I suppose.

(For simplicities sake, I'll call them football and soccer) Because in soccer you don't hold it unless you're a goalie, which makes no sense when he begins talking about padding and then Elmo corrects him.
