  • This is a wonderful jem!

  • I do like this song, but something about it really depresses me. Anyone else agree?

  • Joan Jett is so hot.

  • Who's she with at 1:19

  • @CherryBomb076 That's Joan with her family.

  • i love the way Joan's voice sounds when she sings this <3

p.s who's the person next to Joan at 1:41?

  • @nightmarekidforever That's Bebe Buell who is Liv Tyler's mom, she was a well known groupie back in the day.

  • @Crimsonjett thanks so much!

  • best Runaways video on youtube!

  • @wchristo100 Wow thanks for the kind words :)

  • WHO WAS ON DRUMS? CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME?

  • @heartachesforedward Sandy West :)

  • I preffer cherie curries lead vocals to the others but joan jett sounded outstanding when she was in blackhearts :)

  • @CrimsonNdClover She's still with her Blackhearts.

  • @Stoony001 Have they got any new songs out?! :D

  • @CrimsonNdClover YEAH =D ! "Hard To Grow Up" and "TMI" they're so great ^^

  • Love Joan Jett, she is my idol.

  • I love Joan's voice on this song, even though Lita wrote it. Joan has such a beautiful voice

  • I love the song and vid...but how about slowing the pics down a bit! My eyes feel like they just ran the daytona 500...LOL

  • @tinadarm33 Lol I guess my vids should come with a health warning, if you think these pics went by too quick my latest Joan Jett vid will melt your eyes, just kidding. Thanks for the kudos ;)

  • I do like the "clean" sound of this tune. I wonder if this was Laurie McAllister Hoyt on bass..?

  • @bigbadbob58 Vicki left before the recording of this album and I think Lita had to fill in on bass for the studio. So it's Lita on bass, not Laurie. This band went through so many members, reminds me of Spinal Tap drummers lol!

  • @Crimsonjett I was thinking the same thing myself--Spinal Tap lol!!

  • this is such a great song and Joan sounds amazing =]

  • "I wanna run run run runaway from here.." I love these lyrics! :D

  • i wanna run run run runaway with joan jett <3

  • Hey, what song are they performining on 3:48??????????????

  • @Joanieismyidol American Nights

  • @Joanieismyidol it might be American Nights, but I'm not sure

  • Awww, i LOVEEEE this song....... It's so sad that they only lasted 75-79:'(

  • Lita, Joan & Sandy >>> My Favorite Runaways !

  • 1:23 do you have the whole photoshoot? If yes, please let me know cuz' I've been looking for this, thank you :)

  • Honestly Im 12 and in love with the runaways.I love their style I love their lyrics covers and their history.IDC about what they did (drugs sex etc.)their music is amazing.Joan Jett is an amazing singer she has that great rough but girl voice.Cherie Curie is beautiful and a great singer crazy & wild.(back when the band was together this is the time that im talking bout)I love old music like rock jazz with vocals and without from the 30's.

  • This are great pictures and clips. Thanks for sharing.

  • This is such a great song.

The whole time I'm listening to it, though, I'm wondering what it would song like if Cherie sang it. Joan's voice was still untrained and thin at the time. Lita and Sandy sound amazing.

  • @Holdenon3 I much preferred Joan's leads to Cherie's, Joan was the most talented member in that band, her career post Runaways is proof of that.

  • @Crimsonjett lita wrote this song but i love joan

  • @Crimsonjett You can't prove a matter of opinion.

I love all of them. Cherie had an amazing post Runaways career. Have you ever heard her cover of Here Comes the Sun? It's amazing.

  • @MsSunshineSuperman Cherie post- Runaways? Bland boring middle of the road crap comes to mind.

  • @Crimsonjett Both of them had some boring songs (Joan Jett's cover of Pretty Vacant was extremely bland), but they both had good songs. I definitely think that Cherie's voice is just as good as Joan's.

  • @Crimsonjett I forgot to say this before - whether or not the songs are good does not prove the quality of her voice. Songs can be good, yet a person's voice can suck... And songs can be bad, yet a person's voice (talent) can be excellent.

  • @MsSunshineSuperman, matter of opinion on this I don't think so. Joan is much more talented than Cherie, even though Cherie had that sultry voice. When Jackie left the band in Japan, they had one more gig and Joan played bass for that gig. Besides that, not to toot my own horn but I'm also a talent scout.

  • @amberfwn As a talent scout, you should realize that a personal appraisal IS a matter of opinion.

  • @Crimsonjett Joan's "You don't own me" cover zzzzz. "Everyday People" as well. Otherwise I love her covers of the Arrows and Tommy James. Original stuff with Kenny Laguna is the way she should have focused on.

  • @Crimsonjett True, I knew it when I got my first album in the 70's. I was also drawn to Joan the most.

  • @Holdenon3, It was Joan's age, everyone's voice gets deeper as they age, some more than others. I can't see Cherie sing this song, but I guess she can if she sang it like she sang Midnight Music.
