The Mini Grip's blade has never felt thin or flimsy to me. I've never even felt the blade flex whatsoever. The Mini Ambush blade may be a hair thicker, but it's cheaper steel. So you're not gaining much with that tiny bit more thickness. At least that's my opinion, I'm no expert.
I'm not 100% sure, but the only ones I've seen are Cabela's exclusive. Comes with black or OD handle. They're not cheap, over 100 bucks. Unless you can find one elsewhere, that's all I could find.
Here's my honest opinion: spend another 20 bucks or whatever and get a Mini-Grip instead of the Mini-Ambush. I have both and never use the Mini-Ambush. It's not terrible, it's just not as good as a grip. The mini-grip has better blade steel and the Axis is better than the rolling lock.
Tx, excellent vid; perfect length and lighting. I just ordered one after much vacillation between the mini grip and the mini bone collector.

@ellipsisman Thanks! You can't go wrong with either one. I have the small Bone Collector as well :)

are these good edcs
techiscool1 2 years ago
Absolutely! These are one of the most popular EDC's today. They're very durable, high quality, lightweight, and very easy to carry.

i was just wondering because i am thinking about getting a blue one.
techiscool1 2 years ago
It's the perfect size for EDC. I have two, the 556 and 555, and I carry them more than any of my other knives. I wouldn't mind a blue one myself.

i think all of them look good and good choice with the plain edge that is what i prefer.

@techiscool1 They are great... I carey one

I always wanted the Mini-Grip to have a thicker blade. The cheaper Mini Ambush's blade is thicker, and it's also $20-30 cheaper on average.
Still a good knife, however.

If you don't mind, in your opinion which is better, axis lock or rolling lock?
virtuovice 2 years ago
Axis Lock is better, it is stronger and has less moving parts.

I agree. I think it's a stupid proposal. Send your government representatives an email asking them to oppose it.
