I don't care what message this video conveys. Speaking from a strictly artistic point of view, the video was crap. The music composition and lyrics seem to have been put hastily together. Then again there is that flawless "let's appeal to the minority" statement being thrown all over your face. The slow motion and the boy stopping the help the kid seem like cheap tricks to appeal to the viewer.

The song is Hindi/Urdu mixed. Urdu is one of the many languages spoken in India. It has nothing to do with religion. Ppl in Madras speak Tamil but tht odesnt mean only hindus reside in Madras. The lyricist, Gulzar, perhaps writes his poetry in Urdu. Urdu is much more lyrical than hindi. Check out classic songs such as from Mughal-e-Azam or Pakeezah. Its just unfortunate that the actual message of this song is not recognized.
