How to Add a Custom Favicon to Google Sites

This didn't work. Maybe they took out this feature? Anyone else have the same problem? I did everything I was supposed to do, it just never changed to the favicon in the url bar. It still shows up as an uploaded attachment, though.

@StevenCasteel Yea, just do the method and wait a while. I don't know how long it takes, but my site's favicon is now changed. Could be anywhere from days to weeks. Sorry I don't really remember.

@Eaglestrike117 I figured it out. If there is already a favicon.ico, you have to delete it. I also had to rename my icon as "favicon.ico". Make sure that it is an .ico file.

This worked great for me for about a month then all of a sudden it isn't displaying. I have made no changes to the site in a week and it just stopped, WTF?

Sweet thanks so much for this. Just a note to reduce stress for people, it must be named "favicon.ico" not "Favicon.ico". For some reason case sensitivity stops it loading as the site's favicon. Thanks again. :) 5/5
