i've been watching lots of ur videos and i really like them .

as far as the singing goes. the rhythm and everything is fine.

you both need to just add FEELINGS like really get into it and feel it then the audience will feel what ur feeling. its really important and it doesn't take too much practice. you can do it today if u want. record then listen to it then u'll see the difference

Ok, I am going to sound really stupid now, but: We learned at school that when you wanna express that something started in the past and is still going on in the present, we should use the present perfect. Isn't that right? It would be really nice if somebody could answer, because I actually tutor a student and I'm currently trying to teach her about this kind of stuff :)

It's ok, you used the present perfect progressive ("to have been" + present participle). What you said does mean that they were and still are living in Germany. While the "and are still" did not need to be added, it can just add clarity, because it is possible to say:

"they have been living in Germany for four years, but now they're back in England."

So yes, keep on using the present perfect here, it is correct.
