Such a rediculous argument.. abiogenesis wouldn't have occurred over such a short timespan and certainly not under the conditions of a jar of peanut butter or any other food for that matter. It took like 500 million years before the first single celled organisms were formed.
Not being able to recreate an event doesn't mean it's impossible. The theory of abiogenesis is sound. Not to be confused with evolution by the way, which is a fact supported by piles of irrefutable evidence.

this is terrible reasoning, a jar of peanut butter is a closed system were as evolution happened in an open system, evolution also took millions of years to develop, I doubt that peanut butter jar is millions of years old. evolution also started in the ocean, the peanut butter is in a solid. Even if I didn't believe in evolution the peanut butter jar example doesn't match in terms of system, medium and time scale. How thick can people be??!!

PS abiogenesis is NOT the same thing as evolution. they are separate, however related. abiogenesis is still somewhat up for debate, but evolution is NOT. evolution is FACT, there is no rational distinction between micro and macro either. micro making up macro, aside from being an existential reality, is a proven biological process of cumulative adaptations which results in specialization, which is the lowest form of macro evolution. it has been demonstrated in and out of labs dozens of times.
