  • @apriljoy2 did you ever get another one?

  • @apriljoy2

How do you know the bunnies demeanor? Is it by breed? I had a wild rabbit and he was scared of everything.

  • @apriljoy2 Same birthday as my mom..

  • I remember those times of bunny kisses from my first rabbit. It's lovely.

  • @TheWayshowerTube Don't get so excited, it's just licking the salt off your skin. It would do the same thing to any body or even a dead body.

  • That is one wonderful rabbit :D

  • I like to kiss rabbits behinde their ears on their back where the fur is like a childs sckin. I just love rabbits so much. I like it when they relax and streache out so you can rub your face down their back and kiss them o theri nuzzle. My rabbit is absolutely BAEUTUFUL. Theire eras feel like velvet and I just love rabbits so much. I have hade a rabbit fall asleap in my arms once and I just held her for 2 hours whilest she snoozed like a baby.

  • I like the way theur nuzzles feel, I love it when rabbits lick you in afection, it tickles and their whiskers tickle your face too. I used to have a dwarf lop and when I cried she used to jump up and drink the tears away. My new rabbit is so soft, but she nipps sometimes. I like their eyes too. Nuzzle nuzzle nuzzle

  • he's beautiful!!!! and fluffy and squishy looking!! :D i love!! He definitely loves you a whole lot :)

  • I lost my rabbit Mere Marie Anne Pacifica Trinidad Florencia de Tilly I (Tilly for short, hehe) last December 5 2008.... And even until now, I miss her so much. She was the most affectionate bunny I ever had. She behaved like a PUPPY. She would run to me once Im back from school. I miss her so much. But I have a new rabbit called Maximo Aurelius Von Figaro (Fifi for short, hehe) He's a boy bunny so he's very active and naughty but very affectionate as well. :))

  • OH, I'm so sorry about your loss. Even a year later, I'm still heart broken, but it does get easier. I have a new little guy that helps ease the pain. You should definitely consider a new pride and joy.

  • I lost my bunny on Valentine's Day (4 days ago) to G.I. Stasis, she was only two years old :(

She was a Dutch bunny, and had a beautiful soul just like your little Whiskers.

She loved giving kisses, cuddling and was the sweetest thing on four legs. She was so young and precious. I'm so heart broken. Rabbits are so underrated! If treated right, they are wonderful pets. I'm looking forward to having another someday. :' ) There's a special place in Heaven for such beautiful beings.

  • It's not true that they don't like to be picked up, mine loves it. You just have to get them to trust you. They don't chew everything, but you do have to take steps to rabbit proof your house. Once that's done, they truly are wonderful and affectionate pets.

  • @apriljoy2 what's a good, affectionate breed for first time bunny owners? lionheads?

  • thats so sweet!

  • my rabbit licks me too :)

  • No, I had him since he was 6 weeks old, met him when he was 4 weeks old. If I said I had him at 4 weeks, I apologize, just an error on my part.

  • @apriljoy2 very cute bunny. You said rabbits are more cuddly than cats, but if so, then what about how rabbits don't like being picked up/held and thus, aren't cuddly? What about ppl saying that? Or am I misunderstanding? Also, do rabbits chew everything?

  • Ummm... you had him from 4 weeks old? They aren't even weaned by then!

  • The doctor happens to be Whiskers vet. He has his own show, and features a pet each month. Since Whiskers was so unique, he was features as pet of the month.

  • is this a TV show? how were you selected to go on?

  • Google "safe vegetables for rabbits" and the top result will be a great list from "ABC's of Rabbit Safe Vegetables". This is a great list to print out and hang on the refrigerator. I hope this helps! Vegetables are great for them... give them the fruit in moderation.

  • @apriljoy2 Thank you for sharing:D

  • @apriljoy2 my rabbit does this :]

  • I love this video, its very helpful to me. I want to get a dwarf rabbit when i'm done with college. Where did April get the list of foods her rabbit needs? I want to make sure my bunny is absolutely healthy.

  • thats not affectionate, my friends bunny is affectionate lmao thats nothing compared to chubbs lol

  • awwwe so cute, and sweet! you are such a Great rabbit owner!! no wonder whiskers gives you so many kisses!!! He reminds me of my beloved mini lop, he used to lick my face clean with kisses :)

  • @Zariena do u find cats or rabbits more cuddly & affectionate? Why?

  • Aww my bunny gives kisses too (:

  • Oh man, he is SO CUTE! Absolutely adorable! You're a terrific bunny mom, too. This video goes into my faves for sure!

  • Looks like my bunny her name is Blossome and she is a Broken Tort notice the brown all over but idk if that one is 2 it has the mustache 2 the brown one and she is so cute

  • Lops are the perfect pet. There your cuddle buddy.:P

  • Whiskers is both beautiful and adorable. Shame on you if you find nothing fun or cute about this video! This is the kind of video that brightens anyone's bad day. You're pretty yourself too, April! :) I'd give this video ten stars, but YouTube only allows a maximum of 5...

  • Oh thank you! I'm so glad that my little guy made you smile. He's very special!

  • Hi, My rabbit and cute but its doesnt not like me. I give him treats and he lets me pet him some times but other then that then her never lets me touch me. I love him but he doesnt get out of the cage that much cause of my house but he gets out some times.

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH

you must be the best pet owner ever

  • ur bunny is loved...lucky bunny ~~~

  • Thank you for explaining that the pellets are not a good source of complete nutrition for rabbits. They need hay, carrots, cilantro, apple branches, etc.

  • I admirer the care and the love that she gives to her sweet bunny..:)

    beautiful!:))

  • what a cutie! *-*

    like him verry much.

  • Oh how exciting for you!!! I remember when I first picked up my boy.... I was jumping out of my skin with excitement. Enjoy your new bun! And remember... don't feed him iceburg lettuce!

  • im geting my bunny on friday!!!!!!

  • My bunny doesn't ever bite, he only licks. I trained him to go up and down stairs and he doesn't go potty around the house. I have to hold mine like a baby just like yours. My bunny never leaves the yard when I let him out. Our bunnies are similar :D

  • my rabbit is very scared of me. i don't know how to build trust. anyone care to help? i think it's b/c i adopted him from the animal shelter...

  • treat him/her often, n stroke it whisperin its ok, all bout showing care eventually he/she will come round matey :-)

  • hopefully things have gotten better. just spend a lot of time with your bun. pet him softly and offer him treats and such. (mine loves yogurt drops... which you can get at most pet shops). also, when possible, hold your rabbit in your lap daily. speak to him in a friendly tone. eventually your bunn will realize that you're his new best friend.

rabbits are wired to see humans and larger animals as predators, which is why they can take a while to become close to a human

  • Well, he is our baby. :-)

  • Its like a baby.......aww

  • My bunny's name is Bramble. I just wanted to say that if you ever let your bunny explore the outdoors don't go overboard like my we did. because it let to a terrible (I'd call it) murder. It wasn't a peaceful death for Angel being headless that it is. You don't know how much I cried that night. Not only me but my dad, mom and brother. But now we are careful, we make sure there are no dangerous animals around us like dogs, snakes, etc. So please take this comment as a warning.

  • Oh wow, that must have been horrifying! I'm so sorry! I do not allow my guy outdoors, especially given the neighbors cat that always seems to be in our yard (which really angers me). But my guy is always safe and sound indoors. But thank you for the warning, it confirms my decision!

  • sure no problem

  • I always loved bunnies, but never knew they could be such perfect pets. He sits on my lap, kisses me, sits up and begs, he's just the best! I definitely recommend bunnies to anybody looking for a perfect pet (he doesn't bark either!)

  • i love bunnies.

i want one just like that.

    ill adopt one.

  • He's neutered because Bob Barker said so.

  • He was so easy to train. I put his litter box in one corner of his cage, but he seemed to like a different corner, so I moved it to his corner. Everytime he had an accident outside of the litter box, I'd pick up the pellets and put them in his litter box. He got the idea within a couple of days. Very easy!

  • how do you get your wabbit litter trained?

  • I had him since he was 6 weeks old, and just cuddled him a lot since he was a baby. Now we call him the 'love sponge' since he just can't get enough cuddling.

  • how did you train him? My rabbit is a holland lop also and I got him liter trained but he isn't very affectionate

  • hey there i have a rabbit 2 named snowflake and hes a boy rabbbit and 4 sum reason he never likes it when i try 2 hold him he jumps out or scrathes me i have 2 hold by his shoulders i try 2 cuddle him him but he hates it

  • he doesnot hate you he might not be used to human contact....and he may not be neutered....

  • Oh I wish I could help you. Whiskers is my first bunny. I got him when he was a baby and made sure that I held him often (while giving him his space). Whiskers also lives indoors with us, so often cuddles on the couch and watches television with us. The breeder I bought him from was a tremendous help for me. Perhaps you can talk to a breeder in your area for some tips? Good luck, I wish I could help more!

  • Whiskers cage is about 3 ft X 18 inches or so. This may be a bit bigger than he needs, but I wanted him to be comfortable. He's not in his cage too often though, he's completely trained and has full run of the house. :-)

  • hi there well i have a problem with my rabbit whenever i open his cage he always runs away from me and when i try to stroke him he just runs away from me and i really want him to love me, he has a massive cage and a massive run (he lives outside) i give him loads of food like different vegetables, pellets, and some cereal too ! by the way he is a mini lop so could you give me some help because i want my rabbit to give me the same love as your rabbit, what should i do?

  • hello snowli1 rabbits shouldn't be held by their neck, it could be damaging and it is painful to them.although some like being picked up some don't like it and if you want to pick it up slowly get it used to you picking it up and make sure it feels secure with you .

  • how big of a cage would that type of rabbit need?

  • Your video on holland lops and bunnies in general was very exact and informative for potential bunny owners. I would have said the same because I did my research and found my bunny online too. I chose a holland lop as well and he kisses and cuddles with me too. I also got him from a breeder when he was around 8 weeks old. I know people will say breeders are bad, but if you want an exact breed and know what you want, that's what you do. I have no regrets and am very happy with my Cookie.

  • I completely agree with your comment about breeders. Whiskers was my first bunny, and I wanted to be sure that I was doing everything properly. His breeder still, to this day, is available to me if I have questions. And Whiskers is 20 months old. You can't get that anywhere else. They really care about him... and that's important to me!

  • I had a rabbit named Snuffles once and he would kiss my arms, face and hands for hours if I'd let him! Best rabbit ever! Would also do a morning bunnyhop ritual when I woke up each day. Had a great bond. Miss him terribly!

  • My rabbit, Cookie, does the same thing...he kisses me and tends to be very jumpy and hyper in the mornings when I get ready for work.

  • OMG

My holland lop, Pumpkin is just like that.

He always kisses my face when hes happy!!

He is the happiest little bunny.

He lets me hold him like a baby, too

  • He is just adorable!!! Love his colors and markings. I to have a Holland Lop and a Netherland Dwarf and I noticed that my Holland Lop is really affectionate just like yours. I will (ALWAYS) own a Holland Lop because their is just no other pet out there as sweet and loveable as the Holland Lop. You truly do have to put in the time with them and they repay you 10 fold. As we all can see? Thanks for sharing such a wonderful little video with all of us. Cath :o)

  • Avoid breeders at all costs if you can. There are loads of dumped bunnies that can be adopted from rescues. Buying from a breeder just encourages more abuse.

  • He's adorable.

My kissing rabbit passed away yesterday :(

  • I'm so sorry to hear about your bunny. Whiskers is my first rabbit, and I already know it'll devestate me when that day comes. I hope that you're getting another, I know it could never replace the one you lost, but I know I can now never be without a pet bunny. Please keep me posted on what you do... my heart is going out to you!!!

  • Hehe, cute bunny!!!

  • Absolutely Darling!

  • Thats a great caretaker! Every bunny deserves one.
