For all who are wondering wtf is going on, Axel is already dead and Roxas is still trying to resist going to Sora. Axel taps into roxas's conscious to try to say goodbye. Axels death snaps roxas into also accepting his fate.

Axel's not going to be completely gone. Lea(Axel's original body) is still around somewhere as he appears in Birth By Sleep. Square Enix stated somewhere that if both heartless and nobody of someone is destroyed, then that person shall return.

Actually, sea-salt is an actually flavor and Walt Disney used to adore it. As you can see...this involves Disney. So, Tetsuya thought it would fit in there like a running gag (he also tried it himself).
