Just to end all chatter on this let me lay down the details:

The map version was 6.48b and this was in a tournament match vs x6 gaming (USA team ranked among the best at the time). People then thought that only Furion, Chen, and Enchantress could jungle. When this came out everyone was completely shocked and it took everyone by surprise. Not only was there Rexxar, a still relatively new hero, jungling but there was a dual jungle happening. They probably figured Furion was babysitting him.

I remember watching this from x6's side when the replay first came out. I figured Furion was babysitting Rexxar in the forest and they would be pathetically leveled. So when Rexxar came out at level 6 around the 5 min mark I was stunned. I then re-watched it under MYM viewpoint (yes that was MYM|Merlini) and saw what happened.

After this match anyone who knew anything played Rexxar like this and this spawned our current pulling and counter warding tactics that we now use today.

Also as to how he survived the massive creep stack near the end, he ran down and grabbed the regen rune that he had previously scouted earlier and eventually killed them.

This vid is from 2007.

In earlier versions of dota, it was rare for people to jungle at the start. People didn't ward the camps except vs. chen because people didn't know how to creep pull etc.

Remember jungling is a fairly new thing: Merlini was the first to do it on furion

Ive also read most of the comments here. The arguments for BM soloing this way are alot better than the opposite. but my question is: what skillbuild and items do u go that early i game?

Axes are your only area-of-effect weapon against the massed neutral creeps; and as the mana cost is the same for all levels it should be maxed ASAP. Beast rage is pretty lousy as most of the time you'll be running around pulling creeps/chasing after retreating creeps and not whacking them continously. Call at level 2 to scout for runes (regeneration/illusion helps jungling, others help ur team)and check on the other creep camps and warn for ganks

When you jungle, you are supposed to tank the heavy creeps. you need to pull or nuke for those. Only centaurs make things difficult. They will chase you and mess up your pull with stomps.
