i write better in english so here goes. voudou is to be blamed for many of the problems that we face in haiti including those that you mentioned. when people rather starve and see their children starve but give the best food to the "lwas" i think that something is wrong with that. my grandma rather go hungry and walk like a poor woman with no family but she makes sure that the lwas eat and drink the best i have a problem with that. look forward to ur reply

I do agree with what you just said. It is a matter of priorities. People should take care of themselves and their families before taking care of the spirits. If any spirit (please quote me on this) requires that you or your family suffer and starve for their benefit, then these spirits are not worth your time because they don't mean you or your family well. Spirit or mortal, that is still abuse! .
However, I wouldn't start blaming a whole religion for anything. You have the good and bad with any religion. You can't hold everybody accountable that is part of the religion because of what a handful of people do
