Not only was this probably the greatest Cartoon ever made, it also taught kids to wear a seat belt whenever they're in a car, always wear reflectors when on your bike and night and always wear a life vest when sailing with friends. Remember; knowing is half the battle.

My favourite show when I was a ki!.Optimus Prime was my hero lol I got so upset when he died in the old movie :( I had an old Transformers video with a good few episodes on it, from what I remember they went back to Cybertron and you see how Optimus Prime came to be after Megatron killed(?) his previous self. Was so long ago now but I seriously watched the shit out of that VHS.

@thevaultboy, that death star looking thing that revived Megatron was called Unicron and the vhs of this movie your referring to was called Transformers the animated movie(1986). They have it out on dvd now. One of the greats. My only complaint about that movie was when they killed off Optimus. As far as these new movies. I'm glad it wasn't just me as far as the new looks. Especially for Megatron and Starscream, good lord. Megatron, Starscream and Soundwave were my fav villians on the series.

How can Optimus be the only voice out of all the characters you bring back. Who would have thought Mr. Smith from the Matrix would be Megatron. At least with Optimus he still favored his old look. Lol, I really believe if Optimus didn't look similar to his old self the movie would have fell next to the Streetfighter movie.

Bumblebee is not a camaro. In the movie he was portrayed as a camaro (apparently they couldn't obtain the rights to use a Volkswagen), however the original was a Volkswagen. He was a buggy, *punches*... NO RETURNS!

Transformers in general pretty much raised me. I learned from the movies that the best fighting techniques are to lob pieces off until it stops moving. I learned from Armada, Energon, and Cybertron that I should NEVER go to Japan. And I learned from Generation 1 that if someone trys to do something new with a brand name, the old guys get all pissy and complain like children. God Bless Transformers.

Too each their own but what would you have done differently cause though I enjoyed the old TV show I can't really see any director today making a complete translation of a cartoon show (as good as the show was) into a live action movie.
