Some people will love this movie. Other might hate it. But whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit that this is one of the BEST BEST BEST movie endings in cinema history! Don't you see the comparison between Kendall Hart and Kathryn Merteuil played by Sarah Michelle Gellar! Both character are selfish, manipulative, slut, both hair colour are brunette, and they try to be a good person but in reality she is bad!
Because there's nothing more moral than disgracing a girl at a FUNERAL...look, revenge is one thing. But if you're doing it to a teenager at her stepbrothers' funeral, then you earn instant karmafuck. This movie's message is really screwed.

However, her world of friendship was backstabbing (to quote Sebastian's journal). From my point of view, this makes her more evil than Sebastian. And no, his death does not mean he's a saint, but he dies protecting the person he loves, and that makes him better than Kathryn.

His sins were nothing compared to those of Kathryn. That's the point.
Plus his girlfriend loved him so much, that she seeked revange at any cost.

He left that girl in the beginning out of spite of her mother, the therapist. But Kathryn also didn't change throughout the whole movie. Sebastian learned to change and learned to love. Kathryn also manipulated almost everything Sebastian did in the movie. Making him do things, which he could've backed out on, but she was a manipulator. All in all, she was worse than him.

here is my ending kathryn reads sebastians journal...changes it to make him look bad...ronald gets hit by car...n then at funeral wen sebastian prepares to embarass kathryn because it was her fault everyone reads the journal including annette and then sebastian yells for kathryn wondering where she is while the security subdue him...fade to kathryn and annette both riding in sebastians car kathryn smiling evilly and apparently annette has stooped down to kathryn's "Cruel Intentions"...the end...
It was the truth about everything. Who Kathryne really was, that she used Cecil, had the details about the bet she and Sebastian made, and her drug use.
Still one of my favorite movies :)

You know what's really ironic. Sarah Michelle Geller played a beyotch in this movie and she also played one on All My Children where she originated the Role of Kendall Hart. She won a Daytime Emmy, and Susan Lucci (Hadn't), and even on the show the two never really got along.

here is my ending kathryn reads sebastians journal...changes it to make him look bad...ronald gets hit by car...n then at funeral wen sebastian prepares to embarass kathryn because it was her fault everyone reads the journal including annette and then sebastian yells for kathryn wondering where she is while the security subdue him...fade to kathryn and annette both riding in sebastians car kathryn smiling evilly and apparently annette has stooped down to kathryn's "Cruel Intentions"...the end...
