Muse became popular........ Project MK-ULTRA, or MKULTRA, was the code name for a covert CIA interrogation research program, run by the Office of Scientific Intelligence. This official U.S. government program began in the early 1950s, continuing at least through the late 1960s, and it used United States citizens as its test subjects.
It would be even funnier if you could have edited the names to say, Staring Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris *thingy* (sorry, can't spell his second name)
haha, yerr true. I think i meant like on a random episode to tv to all the viewers (they'd all be like WTF lol) that could maybe feature muse as well.. THAT would be awesome
I love muse and yes believe they are original but so what if they did or did not use part of the music . The lyrics are great, brilliant but apart from that what people are talking about is indeed the how much the music does sound the same. Lets face it Dr. Who is part of pop culture for many in the UK.
:O they should acturally use this as the doctor muse theme tune, its better than the one atm and muse would get bages of money off it... who loses?!?!
Trust me, i'd love to see both these things combined. I fucken love dr who, but the song is about a new world order OR an order trying to control it's people, and our resistance towards it (hence the name "uprising", as in us pushing them out of power and rebelling) - not really about going through time and space. I'd say songs like starlight, problematique, glorious, TAKE A BOW, knights of cydonia (okay, overkill?) ahahah, mainly the black holes songs though
I don't know what exactly you meant but if you mean the words of Uprising then it will fit very well if you ask me. And I was always looking forward to listening something that would combine dr who and muse.
Fair enough, and i would look forward to such a thing also. However, i don't find the point of the song fitting to the concept of a time traveller trying to solve mysteries in alien races. The song is about a higher power trying to force it's people into becoming followers - something that we are trying to come up and rise against.
I hate metallica, but what the fuck has muse got to do with them? muse is prog/alternative/space rock, metallica is rock. Now please gtfo seeing you fail at music
Haha that was the first thing I thought; it sounds like the Doctor Who theme tune. XD
Before anyone starts bashing me: I love Muse. I love all their music. Don't hate me for comparing it to Doctor Who, it just sounds similar. And they're fans of the Doctor anyway. *hides*
You know what this sounds like? Slipknot! Like wtf Muse get original! No I'm completely fucking kidding. I agree with apersonnamedbob. Its sounds like Muse, cause its fucking Muse. NOTHING.ELSE.
im getting really tired of these people comparing muse to other things... first twilight, then that american idol stupid singer, then queen, and now doctor who, great. Now you're all part of that congratulations. just listen to the fucking song and cut the bs
I don't know what your problem is but the music itself does sound like the theme song of Doctor Who. Plus you got to look at it this way they are a British band and not only that but many artists in the music industry have been inspired by that theme song and used parts of the song to include in their music such as Pink Floyd among others.
... And then the doctor regenerated as a horse.

I think they're purposely using the Dr Who theme.
If anything, it matches the melody of "White Wedding" as well.

muse is awesome :)

you forget the number 1 song which would be perfect for doctor who ( purely in mid of lyrics) Exo Politics
Wilks228 2 years ago
Yeah... that'd be good. Plus, the beat would kinda go with doctor who in my opinion
dannyboyinxs 2 years ago 2
haha nice...BBC should consider it a good option for dr who theme lol. :P
dimlebrules 2 years ago
why? because of the instrument used in the first 30 seconds? If this is a serious suggestion, then i suggest you actually listen to the words.

yeah i know sorry, just tired of hearing it thats all, it is funny, just im sick of it lol
Apersonnamedbob 2 years ago
first, don't you even put those twilight/american idol's stuff into the same category with Queen/Doctor Who
there's nothing wrong at all saying USOE sounds like queen
I love Muse, but Bohemian Rhapsody is really epic, it is definitely a compliment if people thinks USOE sounds like Bohemian Rhapsody
and uprising=doctor, it's just a joke
though i'd love to see BBC actually really uses uprising as the new intro LOL
