They never did say that Wyatt killed Piper and honestly I don't think Chris would want to save his brother if he had. A common fan theory, though is that that was the last straw for him to turn evil. We don't even know if in Chris' future he had a sister (or cousins for that matter) or if they were a result from him changing the future. Basically when it comes to season 6, everything is open for interpretation.
Gideon knew that Wyatt is evil in the future. However, he did not know that his attempts to kill Wyatt is the reason for him to turn evil. At the end of season 6 Leo kills Gideon which prevented Wyatt from turning evil. I also believe that this was the last season for demons to try to turn Wyatt evil.

On the final season's final episode Piper and Leo preparing Wyatt, Chris and Melinda to go to school and then you see her as a grandmother which implies that by saving Wyatt from turning evil, Chris also changed everyone's destinies, and this is why he had to die to become a new person and go along with the future that he help create...
yeah but if you take note on the final episode piper when Chris and Wyatt return to the past and tell the girls and their grandmothers that someone screwed up their future (this is when Billy and Kristy steal Wyatts powers) paper asks Chris if he remembers where Victor, his grandfather, lives and Chris says that he does and he ends up taking Patty and Wyatt there. So I think that there is some part of him that remembers what happened when he came back and died in the past.
because supposedley pipers death when Chris was 14 had something to do with Wyatt being turned evil. At the end of this season it is established that Wyatt does not turn evil thanks to Chris..therefore the future is changed and Piper doesn't die.
