I doubt that the Joker applied his make up with a lipstick brush and I think the film's make up artists wanted to achieve the effect of a messy mask and his lipstick is practically smeared on, not carefully applied. Scars aside this is a poor makeup job. The joker does'nt have black under his nose. I do the Joker makeup for my brothers costume and no matter how many times I have done it I always look at refferernce pictures to ensure the closest look possible.
